Hey Where's Today's Freakin' Game Thread, Saturday, July 28th?

yep, i thought it was fucking stupid to give up that much for a rental in sanchez (who probably isnt that bad, if the offense didnt fucking blow we could be in this game) but for fucking infante? he's an average 2B, and even with our pathetic 2B production we didnt need a 2B because our OF production is far worse.

hell for what we gave up, we could have gotten greinke.

Exactly, as cheap and HanRam [who I still don't want on this team] and Grinke were, I feel like we way overpaid for these two.

Blaming Sanchez isn't too smart. When your hitting makes a gas can like Alvarez look like Nolan fn Ryan then there's a problem. The hitting is atrocious.

yeah, looks like every team remembers/cares that they cant get draft picks for players they get mid-season, except for us. DD needs to go.

No matter how many run we fail to score, he's still given up too many on his own.

He's still a pitcher with nasty stuff. He's been on a dogshit team in Miami. Hopefully the trend don't carry over. He wasn't pitching that bad today though...

Get tossed Jim and go watch the rest on TV so you can be reminded again how bad our bats really are.

Hosed? How?

we gave up better prospects to get them than the angels gave up for grienke. infante doesnt help much, and idve rather have had half a year of greinke than sanchez despite the latter being a decent pitcher.

8 hits, 5 ER, 3 HR, 3 BB and 3 K.

That's 5th starter numbers.

I realize it's one game, but it was not a good one.

now that we're down by 4 the suck ass offense will probably get a couple now off one of those 6+ pen guys. too bad it won't be enough.

Did you watch the game? He pretty much made 5-6 bad pitches the whole game and got hurt on them. He actually pitched very well.

Maybe DD was feeling guilty about the Cabrera deal and decided to throw the Fish a bone?

And I thought we overpaid before I saw what Grienke and HanRam went for, now I feel Florida's GM rubbed sand on his cock and put it to us prison style.

I'm still watching the game.

The "pitched very well" is a puff PR saying, he was unimpressive.

Too early to say we gave up too much IMO. Besides, Grienke is a headcase anyways. Yeah, he can be dominant but why can't this kid stick somewhere?

As for Infante, he helps out big time. Wether anybody on this board wants to believe it or not, he solidifies the position that we were putting in AAAA players in. Easy to say it was wrong because he's hitting like shit right now. He'll come around. Oh, and it keeps Raburn out of the lineup as well. Tell me he doesn't help now...i dare ya ;)

Sanchez is a good pitcher. He just hasn't got any run support.

yeah, except that 5-6 mistake pitches is kind of a lot especially against one of the best offenses in the majors. he did not pitch well today.

porcello pitched really well except for one inning last night.
verlander pitched really well except for one inning the other night.

they both ended up as losses because they were bad overall starts, just like this one (the loss isnt for sure, just assumed for now).

5th starter numbers?? Oh, ok..lol.

The score was 3-1 until the 2 run blast. He was keeping them in the game. My point is, he wasn't blowing it the whole game. He looked pretty sharp for most of the game but YES, he does need to step it up.
