Hey Where's Today's Freakin' Game Thread, Saturday, July 28th?

People are really underrating moving up 40 or so draft spots.

Besides, other than Turner, we gave up shit.

Brantly will never be a top 20 MLB catcher, he's a solid bench option, but really nothing special, nothing to care about giving up, nor did he have all that much value. He's like Dusty Ryan.

It's not always a matter of weighing what we gave up for what we got, sometimes you have to weigh who we could have gotten as well. Turner and Brantley was a nice package, real nice bargaining chips, not sure if we used them well.

Maybe DD was feeling guilty about the Cabrera deal and decided to throw the Fish a bone?

And I thought we overpaid before I saw what Grienke and HanRam went for, now I feel Florida's GM rubbed sand on his cock and put it to us prison style.

Grienke went for two top 100 prospects and another top 10 Angels' prospect. They gave up a ton for him. It would have cost Castellanos, Turner, and Brantly. HanRam went for nothing because he sucks. Where would you like Hanley to play? OF where he has never played?

Getting a year and a half of Infante, plus moving up 40 draft picks, is pretty very fair for giving up Turner.

Giving up one mediocre prospect and one bad prospect for a 2 month rental of Sanchez, is also very fair value.

For what they gave up, they got fair value.

Castellanos probably has more value than the Angels package by himself.

Castellanos and scrubs woulda gotten Greinke, which would have been an awful trade for us.

In terms of the Tigers' system, it is quite a bit, but wasn't actually that much.

Segura and Pena are both good prospects. Two good prospects and a solid organizational player > One really good prospect

I really hope the white sox lose tonight really don't wanna lose that entire home sweep gain like this in the blink of an eye. This really sucks, I'm going to shut up now and turn it off before I get really pissed. We got 5 hits today off ave at best pitchers, wow that's just embarrassing. If the sox lose tonight I'll feel a little better if they don't I might end up breaking something. lol

Alvarez isn't even average. He's trash actually...

Isn't that the norm around here, bro?

Turner is the next JV and Brantly is going to be Johnny Bench.

Simply magic on these boards.

The wins were nice while we had em....back to not being able to hit the baseball and below average pitching. Trade working out awesome so far. Ive seen Infante not be able to throw the ball from 2B to 1B and Sanchez not be able to pitch in 2 consecutive days....awesome.

Matbe we should pack it in??

I kind of expected this, young pitcher the Tigers have yet to face and throws junk = recipe for disaster for Tigers

The Tigers wouldn't trade Castellanos straight up for that package.

The Angels woulda loved to though.

The only player who really projects to be an all-star, is Castellanos.

None of the Angels prospects do.

And one all-star>>>>>>>3 non-all stars.

Quality over quantity.
