Hoops vs IU

Wanted this one very badly. I've always hated IU basketball. Going to take a lot for me to get over this meltdown.

Wow, what an epic choke. They were up 15 last I checked. Gotta kill their tourney chances.

Pretty sure they still get in . Unless there are a zillion upset. Probably shouldn't get in but most included them after osu win. .especially with how bad ncaa hoops is. Plus um is a tv draw. My guess is the play in games or a 12 seed.

The NIT is still a very good basketball tournament.

A Michigan-MSU NIT championship game would be neat. I'd watch that.

I?d watch that just to mock our Sparty friends who?ve been razzing us about playing in the NIT this season.

I don?t think I would watch Michigan in the NIT for any other reason.

As really really enjoyable as football was this year, basketball has been an abject disappointment.

If Michigan makes the tourney, it won?t even probably be the tourney, it?ll be the playin round, which isn?t really the tourney for the losers.

The team will probably lose the playin game to butt hole state or something, blowing a 17 point lead with two minutes left in the game.

Still doubt we even end up in a play-in game. We were 31 in the NET coming into today and lost a Q1 game. I don't think that's going to put us below teams like SMU, TCU, Oklahoma, NDSucks, VT, Marquette. Quite a few teams ranked below us in the NET that are more likely to get play-in games. Two of the play-in games are 16 seeds, so there's only four teams that need to be behind us.

Yeah we still probably get a 9, 10 or 11 seed. Covering all the suck spots of a ncaa bracket lol!

10 or 11 seed is way better than 9. 8 and 9 seed is the worst spot to be in the tourney. Not that it matters because we can't win two games in a row.

At osu. Team played better when MD and Hunter were not out there at the same time. Now they played decent until 12 minutes left. Then choked a 17 point lead away.

So the whole game? Hunter was out sick and never played at OSU.

I know . That?s my point. Seems like the offense flowed better. Should have worded it differently. I just feel that Hunter and MD create spacing problems on the floor when they are both out there together. When it works it looks great but Howard needed to do something different when it was falling apart. I really feel Howard didn?t use his substitutions very well. The offense looked great in Columbus. I just don?t get it.

I think I heard it was the second largest comeback in btt history. Guess Howard has that now. Did any of his second half timeouts work ?

So maybe we have to sweat.
Espn Joe lunardi had us as a 10 seed before the Indiana game.

But cbs Jerry palm had the Indiana Michigan game as a possible elimination game.

This is likely an elimination game for the loser. It definitely is for Indiana. The Hoosiers are lacking quality wins, have not done well against the better teams on their schedule and aren't good away from home. They are also below .500 against teams in the top three quadrants.

Michigan
Michigan needs this win to be guaranteed to finish four games above .500, which has been the unwritten minimum standard for an at-large team in a full season. The Wolverines might still get in even with a loss, because they have played a top-five schedule, but I wouldn't want to take that chance.

It really sucks.. team wasn?t coached very well this year. Over hyped and overrated. They never should have had this bad of a record.
