Hoops vs MSU

Since starting 17-0 the teams 9-5 the last 14 games. Wish thy could bottle up th games verses Villanova and Unc. I?m still not buying how great the Acc is.

A lot of that has to do with schedule strength. Obviously, the schedule was going to get harder with Michigan being in the best conference in the country. 4 of their 5 losses were on the road in conference. Most of the Out Of Conference was against cupcakes.

Season trajectory is very similar to when we made the national championship against scumbag Pitino.

Seedings bracket

So it appears Michigan will play the final game of the day in the quarterfinals on Friday. Potential opponents are either Iowa, Northwestern, and either Rutgers, Illinois, or Indiana, who are tied for spots nine through eleven at 7-12. I can’t find anywhere yet where those seedings amongst the three have been established.

Here are the tie-breakers in case anybody wants to have wack at trying to figure it out.

Yeah the game will probably tip after 9:30pm EST. That's a little late for me, working at 6am on Saturday.

B1G website standings.

According to this, #11 would be Illinois.

Oh. I didn’t know there were more games B1G games today. So I guess the three potential opening opponents are yet to be determined.

Congrats to Michigan State. I maybe in the minority opinion on this one, but I actually think they are better without Ward in the lineup. At least against us at any rate. Best of luck in the tourneys.

For Michigan it is what it is. A great regular season, that just came up a wee bit short for a conference title. That Penn State game will continue to haunt me lol.

Everything still to play for! Excited for tournament time now.

I would say weaker offensively, better defensively without Ward. Not much in the way of post presence and consequently harder to get looks from three. Have to basically live and die with what Cassius is able to orchestrate. And certainly a big hit to the depth and it lowers our ceiling. I agree maybe a better matchup vs UM as Tillman is better equipped defensively to handle what Beilein's offense throws at people.

I'm not sure what I think about the coming BTT. Bowing out in the semi's and getting an extra day of rest might not be the worst thing to happen after a pretty grueling conference season.

Tillman is a terrible matchup for Teske. Really hurts our D. Teske just can't keep up with him.
