Get StartedThey give points for blow out wins. So teams like Gonzaga get bonus points for beating up on quad 4 teams. It's extremely flawed. So according to the net ranking we are a 3 seed. Maryland still ahead of us and according to the NCAA site the only stats they lead us in are WAB and quad 4 wins. We won all our quad 4 games but only played half as many as MD.
Alabama’s stats don’t look as good either.
There’s something wrong with the Net rankings.
They really don't care what happens in that conference tourney. They'll never admit it, but I'm certain the draw is 99% finished before the weekend. They might have to adjust a couple teams they didn't expect to make it. UM didn't finish the regular season well and that's a big one. 9-6 last 15 games, all 9 wins were by 4 or less pts and they got hammered in 4 of the 6 losses. Especially bad in the last 6 going 2-4 with 3 of those losses at home. I even thought they'd get a 3 or 4, but once I saw all that I understood. Wisconsin at 3 is kinda high, but I really don't see much gap in all the 3-6 seeds this year.uofm beats Wisconsin twice including BTT final, has a better record and finished higher in B1G standings, gets a 5 and wisco gets the 3. So weird.
I hear you but I’m not trying to make the case that uofm should be a 3 and wisco should be a 5. It just seems odd that they are 5-8 spots lower than a team they beat twice and finished ahead of in the conference standings. Even if you ignore the BTT, it seems weird. it’s not like wisco finished strong, they went 2-3 in their last 5 games and played themselves out of a possible tie for 2nd by losing to psu at home, finishing 4th.They really don't care what happens in that conference tourney.
