It's real easy. all you need to know how to do is: 1) count backwards, and 2) post a picture of a football player (I suggest you use former MSU players).
The football player selected should be wearing the jersey number corresponding to the days remaining until kickoff. You can start as far in advance as 99 days before kickoff, since that's the highest jersey number allowed in college.
Makes sense?
It's a fun way to show your school spirit and also remind fans how many days until the season starts, so nobody misses the opening game.
You wouldn't post on the day of kickoff, unless you had a player who wore #0.
I don't think we did. It's more common in basketball.
