How the Mueller Investigation Could Play Out for Trump

do you really believe the hard left is the answer?

No, but just like like Trump was enabled by how terrible Hillary was, the extreme left has been empowered by how terrible Trump is.

I wonder if by leaking what he plans to testify, he isn't fishing for a pardon. Article says he claims he wouldn't accept one now.

Trump questioning the intelligence of African Americans might not be racism. He thinks everyone that isn't him is stupid.

Getting repaid $130k in $35k installments yields a $10k bonus. I wonder if that was agreed on or if Cohen inflated the number a bit.

I think most people would have guessed that that's where it would end up from the start.

But by latching on to the whole 'no collusion' angle, people feel justified in shouting that the Mueller investigation shouldn't have ever happened and therefore should be ignored. Despite the fact that crooked people are being popped left and right.

That's something I give credit to Trump for - his PR skill in changing what people think about the origin of the investigation. Mueller wasn't tasked with investigating collusion, he was tasked with investigating Russian election interference (something Trump used to deny happened because Putin told him they didn't interfere). It happened to lead to several Trump campaign people and if it leads to financial crimes completely unrelated to the election, that won't be fundamentally different from the Clinton impeachment which started as a property deal investigation (Whitewater) and ended as an investigation into an extramarital affair.

Trump, on twitter in 2013
https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/357148847136448513?lang=en
Just found out that at a charity auction of celebrity portraits in E. Hampton, my portrait by artist William Quigley topped list at $60K
From Cohen's testimony (page 12 of this ):
Mr. Trump directed me to find a straw bidder to purchase a portrait of him that was being auctioned at an Art Hamptons Event. The objective was to ensure that his portrait, which was going to be auctioned last, would go for the highest price of any portrait that afternoon. The portrait was purchased by the fake bidder for $60,000. Mr. Trump directed the Trump Foundation, which is supposed to be a charitable organization, to repay the fake bidder, despite keeping the art for himself.

someone on "Attorney Twitter" made the point that's hilarious the White House is slagging Michael Cohen by calling him a "liar" when he only got in legal by lying that Trump was innocent.

Other than Cohen, aren't most of these people that are getting popped getting popped for stuff unrelated to Trump, like Manafort?

I'm not surprised the investigation may be finding bad things from Trump's prior life - that shouldn't surprise anyone but I would still be surprised if that actually goes anywhere because Trump didn't operate in a vacuum. He operated in a Dem controlled city where he has bragged about buying politicians in the past (or alluded to it). I imagine it will be pretty hard to bring him down without also bringing down big parts of the political machine in NYC.

What I anticipate coming from this is frustration - if they go after Trump and let sleazy operators in the FBI and DOJ off the hook because they helped bring him down and abetted prior high level targets in getting away with their misdeeds.

So there are headlines claiming Trump ordered that they issue Kushner the Top Secret Clearance. The claim that he passed the regular hurdles was another lie. Add it to the list of things supporters will inexplicably justify. Cognitive dissonance is a helluva drug.

It's really confusing what Stone's end game is here. I know he's a grifter and a serial fraud (like everyone in the Trump administration, including Trump himself) so he probably thinks he's playing to his audience.

But I doubt the judge and prosecutors tasked with convicting him are laughing with him. And by openly mocking the judicial process when they have him by the short hairs already, he's making them look weak and incompetent if they DON'T throw his ass in jail.

I think your over analyzing him, imo he just simply can’t stop lashing out kinda like trump.

This is all just about over,...gay frogs version of Paul Harvey’s 1965 fortelling of the present day.

Trump is a blow hard Twitter cowboy demands this demands that then doesn’t force the hand. Lets the never trumpers string him along..The republic is lost.

Do you suppose Paul Harvey and Art Bell are hanging out together in the hereafter?

Hi Tinsel!, IDK maybe so. They were both a little before my time really. I wasn't yet on this rock when Harvey recorded that but I do agree that it seems even more relevant and prophetic today than it did in 1965

sometimes I find trumps specific words interesting. He made a weird comment the other day about being good, we have to be good. I'm not sure but I think he was more less saying hey all you who got impatient and did things you shouldn't have sorry nothing I will be able to do. but I digress all in all I do think a case could be made for obstruction and all those tweets he makes. Not sure how that'll all unfold really. There is yet a lot more to come IMO good and bad.

And it would still appear no end in sight despite what the MSM would have everyone believe.
