I'm not usually one to complain about refs, but

1. Since when can the ground cause a fumble?

2. Since when does a knee down and possession in the end zone not equal a TD?

3. Since when does this, http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/316... on the last play not equal pass interference?

I'll tell you - when you're playing Iowa and the refs suck balls. And just to be fair - Michigan needed a penalty called on them when we hit their punt returner after he called a fair catch. Yet, no call.

Now I'm not saying Michigan wins even if all of the things above were called correctly, but holy crap I haven't seen that many terrible calls all in one game in a very long time, probably since the Mich vs. Nebraska bowl game. Michigan still had to complete a two point play, so I still don't think we win - but it's frustrating to lose off crap like that.

I remember when MSU beat Michigan by a point, I forget the year, when Michigans man got taken down on the last play in the end zone. Happens way too often.

Well, it happened to Desmond Howard once, if that's what you're talking about.

TinselWolverine[/color]]I absolutely blame the refs too.

I guess I don't see the problem for blaming the refs for taking away a TD from us at the end of the game. I mean they litterally did that. Does that mean we lose or win the game? Not sure, but the refs definitely screwed U of M out of TD. Why can't we complain about that?

desmond was tripped if i recall in endzone at msu that would have won the game

let's just admit while the refs might not of helped it didn;'t seem we were doing a good job

we were on 2 yard line and didn't score

Pass Interference? Really??? Huh, I thought he was auditioning for Dancing With The Stars! Looked like a Tango, but I'm not very knowledgable about stuff like that.

This was not the only PI not called, I think I counted at least 3 others. Of particular note, go back and look at the Red Zone INT...yep, totally mugged UM WR on that play too. In fact, it was happening so frequently, I'm pretty confident the refs forgot that PIs exist.

Still, the play calling, DR's inaccurate passing, the D not making enough stops...many elements go into losing a game so not blaming the refs entirely. They sure were a factor though, like they are far too frequently in far too many games, UM's or otherwise. Hate it, but it really is part of the game anymore, especially with the fact there are far more cameras covering the field than refs have eyes as a total. Easy to see things from the cameras that in the heat of a bang-bang play can be missed. Still, these guys should receive a poor grade when the game is evaluated by the powers-that-be...whomever they are...if they really exist...kinda like Men In Black if you ask me. They use a neuralizer in the form of next weeks game, and subsequent games, to make the memories fade away, yet a few still remember.

I gotta tell ya, I was excited up to the end. I like the way M hung in there and came back after three and a half horrible quarters (well pretty bad anyway - I guess if they were truly horrible wouldn't wouldn't have been in it at the end) and got it to the last play for a chance to score a TD and tack on 2 and extend the game to OT.

I think they made the right play calls on the first three plays down there (two could have been touchdowns).

I think they should have run Denard right on the last play - maybe a pass run option.

It seemed like earlier on the last drive that they were going deep when they should have gone short, then went short when they had to start going deep. It blead the clock too much.

You guys got jobbed. Lot's of missed calls and the CATCH at the end, sure looked like a catch to me. I hope this doesn't happen to us next week. With our undisciplined team and calls like today, we wouldn't stand a chance.

Thank you green and white! Its not that we are saying that we shoulda won, but we should have atleast had a chance.

If you run the football, the refs cannot affect the outcome. M did not run the football.

I agree, I was heading out the door trying to catch the endings of the MSU game and UM game and thought UM scored. Found the score out later and was confused. Saw some quick highlights of the end, pretty sad. Bad officiating today for you guys. We got lucky with some calls. I actually think Minny outplaed us.

That Hemingway TD was a TD on the call. How that ref could call that INC is stunningly mystifying. And 19 interfered with Roundtree by obstructing him AND holding him, take your choice. Refs absent without explanation.
