How do you cross a line like that? It's stuff like this that moves Jones from the category of cartoon villain to actual villain.

the mouthbreathers who watch his show are dumb enough to innocently believe the shit he says, but Jones isn't. To make a buck he's intentionally endangering peoples' lives solely because they dare to speak out against widespread firearm ownership after their kids were murdered by some mutant who should never have gotten his hands on a gun.

It's one thing to play "conspiracy theory" and attack public figures. It's stupid, but they signed up for it, they have security details, and if you public threaten them, chances are good the state will charge you with a crime.

But going after private citizens like that, and ones that just had their young child murdered in school like that is really shocking. I remember being shocked when it happened, and I still am today.

I just heard the audio clip on the radio of the confrontation between Jones and Rubio detailed in the link...pretty funny stuff...

I guess Jones just went up to Rubio and put his hands on him, which Rubio took a little umbrage to...which I find perfectly understandable; I don't like strangers just approaching me and touching me.

I agree I don't particularly like people touching me either, They teach that as a part of a way to connect with people but I would be annoyed by it as well. Jones does that to everybody, this is not the first time he's done that and the person responded just like Rubio did. I don't blame him one bit. Mr. Jones quirks and bad habits don't cause me to throw out his entire message though, he's kinda like Trump but much more of a hyperspaz

I'm not unsympathetic to the people that think or wish social media platforms were some kind of speech utility, but the 1st amendment keeps us from going in and regulating. The social media platforms are doing things the government isn't allowed to do. But if you don't like the way they do it, the answer isn't to have the government step in and start regulating. Maybe there's a way net neutrality could have been extended to come up with content blind rules, but fake news is a problem, and if we're going to experiment with different approaches to it, it should be private companies doing the experimenting, and not the government.

While i feel these types of tweets are harmless, we live in a crazy time where it seems like everyone in the country (your side too - burning Nikes and crying about kneeling athletes) has a temper tantrum every time a mean word is spoken or someone spouts different beliefs. I said something earlier about being sympathetic to the general idea of of social media companies representing a form of speech that's so prevalent it feels like censorship even though it's private. One thing sort of related to the topic of government and censorship, if there's a problem with censorship, it's going to be people attacking the government being censored, not conspiracy theorists that support the President.
