Iowa Game

I'd rather see Forbes in instead of Harris. I'm so confused by these lineups by Izzo.

Iowa is playing bad enough this half to give us a chance. We just can't hit a fucking open shot.

Harris is just a dumb player. Costello had to come out of the post to make the foul up top because he was too dumb to do it.

Davis needs to start. I don't know how Izzo doesn't see just how much better he is than everyone on this this team.

Just an ugly, UGLY game. Clearly that loss at Iowa wasn't because we didn't have DV.

Oh, and Harris is terrible.

wasted opportunity - 4 top 10 teams lose before this game and we lay an egg. Best thing I can say about this game is its over.

Not sure why, but he's always been like that with freshmen. I believe it's cost us recruits over the years.

You gotta learn the defensive scheme before Izzo will put you on the floor for any amount of time.....most freshmen just can't pick it up in time.

Cost us recruits......possibly. Hard to say.

I just don't get how Harris can make mistake after mistake and Izzo still sticks with him. Yet Davis loses one guy on defense and he's stuck to the pine. It's maddening

Best shot blocker, best post player, best feet, I just don't get it. Tum Tum on the floor hurts so bad offensive. I absolutely hate it when Valentine makes a beautiful play and passes it to a WIDE OPEN player only for it to be Tum Tum...of course he drives and kicks it back out.

Maybe the worst effort I've seen by an izzo team ever. I've seen us get blown out but that's the worst display I've seen. Yes iowa made everything and it would be a game regardless but this one was all about turnovers and second chance points. That's a lack of focus and effort.

I believe it's better for the player and the team in the long run to let him play through it. You don't get experience sitting in warmups.

Talent wins at the end of the day, and Davis has talent. Have to play him through some of the freshman mistakes. McQuaid has made some of the dumbest turnovers yet Izzo doesn't say anything about him. Izzo needs to stop being so hard (in terms of playing time) on his most talented players.

Lessons learned in the regular season pay off on March. We lost to Texas southern last year when dawson was out and izzo refused to play clark. Clark was coasting assuming he was going to get minutes no matter what. Clark ended up making big plays vs Louisville.

Izzo isn't infallible but I trust him.

So is Izzo following that same pattern again this year with Clark?

Buried on the bench behind better players. He's going with schilling at the 4 a lot more. The point is that izzo doesn't play someone who isn't giving 100% effort. In this game I don't know if he could find 5 guys to play hard.

Also, valentine looked really slow, like an old man in a rec league. I assume it's more fatigue than being unsure of his knee
