Jason Pierre Paul done messed up

Yeah, it's time to stop public selling of fireworks. It's going to piss people off, free markets, all that BS stuff. But people are losing their lives and getting hurt because they are not able to handle fireworks.

I dunno about that. I think these are good people that just got drunk and did something really freaking stupid. We've all done things as children similar to this that could have cost us dearly, and we were lucky. These people don't get have that luck.

You've put a mortar type firework on your head or chest and lit it?

NFL Network reporting that JPP's thumb is also broke. He is still in the hospital and is going to force the Giants into a tough situation. Either they let him go or they just pay him the 14 mil not knowing if or when he can play.

Some are still saying he may bot miss games but at this point I would be shocked. He has lost at least 1 finger and has pins in others. Also he has had skin grafts that will need to heal 100%. I have had friends who had had them and they tear and brak open very easily. So he will need to be very careful.

Tom, you get my point. Kids and people do dumb stuff, every day. Some of them get lucky, others not so much.

There's no reason to put a dangerous chemical in the hands of people who aren't trained to use them. Nothing good happens, ever.

Problem is the dumb people who use fireworks irresponsibly or think being drunk while doing so is ok aren't always the ones' that get hurt.

There were 11 people killed using fireworks last year. There are 4500-5000 people killed riding motorcycles last year.

Tom, stay on the fireworks conversation. Human nature always deviates to something else.

11 people killed (and I have no idea how accurate that # is), I would imagine that there are THOUSANDS who are injured or injured badly every year from fireworks. It needs to be fixed.

I'm just saying...maybe the fireworks problem isn't as big as you think.

Even if it's not a massive problem, it's a problem that can be solved.

How long does it take to solve this problem? 15-30 minutes?

Pass a law that stops the public from purchasing fireworks.

That was tough.

an average of 12 people die each year playing football.

I lived on a 4-lane road in RO and it meant to some of the residents that there was no neighborhood. Across the street the neighbors are lighting works that are exploding 100 feet in the air. These are the real deal. I am in the front yard and one goes whizzing by my head misses me by maybe two feet. I had to move out of the way to avoid getting hit between the eyes. I am across the street before the embers are out pounding on the front door, side door, itching for a major confrontation. No one answers and no one is in the back yard. Obviously they are hiding in the house. About 15 minutes later I flag down a cop and tell him the tale. (you cannot launch these kind of works in RO) He says "I can't do anything until I see something" ... right on cue BOOMBOOMBOOM ... "see you later," he says, flipping on the lights and accelerates to the driveway.

When I was about 11 I got ahold of an entire brick of Black Cat firecrackers, and put about 8 packs together and lit them off on a single fuse. I was going to throw them and watch them go off in the air.

Before I could throw, they went off in my hand. It hurt like hell, and to this day I don't really know how I didn't blow my fingers off completely.

Looking at these stories, I feel even more lucky than I already did.

Or we can all sit in our houses, lock the doors, pull the shades, lock the windows, turn the tv off and sit in the dark like a bunch of paranoid fucking losers and not have fun.

Fireworks are a blast. They're fun as hell and you just need to be careful.

Lighten the fuck up...

All I know is wherever I lived in Michigan you'd constantly hear fireworks from June 1st to about July 31st. Everyone has them and it's a big deal. People are lighting them every single night for hours at a time.

Now I've been in Virginia for the past two 4th of July's and I NEVER hear fireworks. I'm not joking. It's odd. You literally only hear them from about 9-10 pm on the actual 4th of July and that's it. My dog loves it!

It's not about having fun with fireworks or not having fun with fireworks, it's about being drunk with having fun with fireworks.
