when have i ever been negative, and why do you think that i haven't gathered any good information? you're claiming unbiased "facts" when you say nothing negative at all... it's all rainbows and sunshine for you. you're making assumptions about everyone because they're not as positive as you and you call my opinions uninformed because they differ from yours.
This team is holeless. It's a fact. Everyone that was retained starting is a good player.
We get year 2 development from the rookies. Coaching change is huge. We get Broyles and Jones back. Van Noy and Ebron are talented rookies that fill needs.
The Stafford hate is beyond dumb when you watch the tape and truly assign blame.
The expectation of many turnovers again is dumb.
The thinking the secondary will suck is very dumb too (media driven)

The secondary is going to struggle to be average. The defensive line, as much as they poured into it, could be horrible if they are similar to last year (at the bottom with sacks). The coaching is entirely new. You cannot call them good coaches until they prove themselves with this franchise.
These coaches have had past success. Including Caldwell year 1. Austin is a winner on 3 teams. Lombardi comes from a great offense and is innovative. All people persons, innovative and smart.
Dline was good in pressure last year. Ansah/Taylor year 2 and Jones back it only gets better. Dline is least of worries.
Secondary was average last year with Housotn hurt play and Slay rookie play. Slay fits this scheme and improves, more reliable safety. Above average is the most likely for this secondary combined with the LB coverage and Dline pressure and innovative coaching. Slay,Mathis,Bentley,Ihedigbo and Quin I have no worries about.
I have no doubt. It would be a remarkable surpise based on injury. I didn't say a talent fail surprise. I said injury.
Injury surprise is related to talent fail surprise. If we have injuries and we struggle it means there wasn't enough talent on the roster to compensate. And there had better be, because as we all know the Lions WILL have injuries, as every NFL team does. That is a legit concern, and a reason to carry at least "some" doubt.
You can retract your earlier statements about how if I have doubt I don't deserve to enjoy watching the Lions at any time now.

This is what bothers me about this organization "he worked out for the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens earlier this year.". Yet they don't bring him in but we do.

Playing hurt injury. Like with Houston last year. I like most of our backups. No team has perfect backups everywhere so some injuries matter more than others.
I retract nothing. You shouldn't have doubt. Injury is the only thing stopping the Lions. You doubt their talent but they are loaded, even at backups in most places.
Backup QB, backup LT we lack. Calvin depends on how long but Tate/Ebron/Bush finally give us a chance without Calvin.

Where did I ever say I doubted their talent? You are putting words in my mouth now sir. I have said numerous times they should make the playoffs. My doubt lies in the unexpected things that you mention. Injuries is certainly one. Mistakes at crucial times is another. So do I still not deserve to enjoy any Lions success? Can I please join you on this moral high ground? I really want to be there.
Mistakes. that is talent doubt. You don't deserve to enjoy for doubting.
Injuries can be overcome too. it depends on who gets hurt.
This is a playoff team. You will not doubt this.

Both starting CBs are a question mark and pass defense was their weakest link last year. They are also prone to turnovers...not sure Stafford has fixed his part in that problem.

I'm the only informed one about the Lions talent level, coaching and past mistakes and it's effect on the future. It's not a gimmick, it's a fact I know more than all of you combined about Lions football.
