Justice Kennedy Announces Retirement

For Kennedy being replaced to cause a swing from 5-4 to 6-3, you have to think Kennedy is the 4th most liberal justice. I've only seen rankings that have him 5th behind Sotomayor, Ginsburg, Kagan, and Breyer. Which one of those do you think is more conservative than Kennedy? Presumably Breyer?

It's going to stay 5-4 as it currently is; 5 appointments by a Republican and 4 appointments by a Democrat.

That's the only thing that is specifically quantifiable, at least as far as I can see.

Kennedy is so not liberal..
When it counted he fucked America with his Citizens Untied vote and his vote in on the recount in Florida that gave us Bush. Republicans have it all now sadly. Kennedy is it doing this now because its before the midterms and he wants to make sure a conservative justice gets picked. Even though it's unlikely that the Democrats take back the Senate he wants to make sure that the Senate can't pull on McConnell but the Democrats win it back... amazingly Obama picked a Centrist judge in Garland in McConnell still wanted to change the rules.

Wouldn't have had horribad decisions like Citizens United.

Corporations being treated like individual private citizens...except for crimes and punishment.

except we would have because Citizens United was decided in 2010 and Obama tried to appoint Garland in 2016.

We used up all our "too much to ask fors" getting Harbaugh.

please, don't act like you're not entitled to everything you desire. how do you think you got those blue end zones? btw, jokes on you guys there - those things are touchdown killers for sure.

How dare you bring friendly rivalry sports smack into a highly charged volatile and contentious political discussion?

it was just a friendly reminder for Gulo who, at least for a brief moment, seemed to forget or perhaps even deny his wolverine privilege.

We deserve everything we desire. We don't always get it.

You don't have to surrender entitlement. You just have to acknowledge that life isn't fair, and sometimes the things you have earned or would be best suited for get redistributed. Like when you lay the ground work for an agricultural department and some horticulturalist gets his knickers in a bunch and your funding is redirected towards the founding of some 6th rate affair.

it was never a question of surrender, it was one of a lapse in memory or denial. Based on the evidence like an inability to acknowledge you're not best suited for or haven't earned an ag program when you can't even grow grass in your own stadium or when your alumni whine on message boards about the blisters they got trying (unsuccessfully) to dig up a couple of shrubs in their backyard, I'd say it's most likely denial.

You should've majored in landscaping or animal husbandry at your agricultural college.

I'm elitist based on five factors.

I graduated from THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
I drive a fancy car
I have a hot wife
I have a huge dong
I do all my own yardwork and landscaping and have the best yard on the block (except for the gay dudes on the corner, but that's not a level playing field!)

Fucking 1%-er all the way, brohams!

Your examples are both from long after the inappropriate allocations had been made. Like blaming Obama for the Vietnam War, which, if anyone in this nation were to do, you would probably defend their position while insisting you don't support them.

you should have gone straight to the assembly line from high school - expectations would be much lower for you and you'd be a lot less of an embarrassment to your peers.

long after the allocations perhaps, but inappropriate? The evidence suggests otherwise. I think your example sounds more like something you would expect from the kind of people who insist their stadium is awesome when in reality, it's awful.
