Also, how the hell do you know how good Leshoure is? He hasn't played a single down.

Are you fucking retarded?? That's the way the world works Sally.
You think if CJ were to get busted for drugs or steroids to the point he were suspended for an entire year the Lions would cut him?? HELL NO. It would be..."he clearly needs help, and we are going to see him though this".....blah blah blah
You think if Maurice Stovall did the same thing he would be on the team. HELL NO. They would cut his ass in a heartbeat and say things like "we wont stand for this in the Lions organization".....blah blah blah
Like it or not, that's how it is. The players know that. The agents know that. The owners, GM's and coaches all know that.
All you're doing is helping me prove my point.
Try again.
you can't lump Suh vs LeShoure in any argument....and LeShoure's FELONY trumps Suhs onfield corkyesque in the heat of the moment stomp.
LMAO. I love it when people say stuff like "Try again", "All you're doing is helping me prove my point.", ect to try and boast. Its a fucking Lions message board.
Anyways, my point was that cutting Leshoure won't have any effect on anyone. No one will care.
In fact, YOU proved MY point. If Leshoure got cut, why the hell would Calvin care?
The only people who might care are the Maurice Stovalls of the team. So, you wanna cut Leshoure to make sure guys like Stovall stay in line? Sounds worth it to me.
Its pot. Its a Felony charge for second offense, but its not like he's going to jail. The real issue is his stupidity.
What about Fairley? The guy gets pulled over while on a suspended license the day after his teammate gets publicly destroyed for weed, so he decides to speed again ON THE SAME DAY and gets pulled over AGAIN, but this time with weed. How do you defend that? If you're worried that Leshoure won't learn, what makes you think Fairley will?
I would think cutting him (Leshoure) would be the right thing to do under the circumstances. It's not like he is a sure fire stud. We can not afford the disruption. Fairley deserves another chance but he would be on thin ice.
Not Stovall, that was an example. But Fairley, Titus, and anyone they draft this year. What kind of message do you think that would send to Jenoris Jenkins if they draft him??
Fairley is an idiot also...lol , they both are.Like I stated earlier the guy who is doing the backgrounds on these guys maybe the one who needs to be replaced...Lions will wait on Goodell and the appeals process and go from there.
Im guessing both tards are on thin ice.
You cant cut Leshoure. You still would have to pay him this year anyway because of his contract. So what would cutting him do. You would lose a player in a position of need and he is still counting against your cap while he is playing for someone else.
not sure what the rule is for cutting a guy who violated NFL policy not once but twice.
I know coaches contracts come with a fire for cause clause in them...like I said not sure about the NFLPA
I would keep Leshoure on the practice squad at the very least when/if he has sufficently recovered, then initially insert him late in games during blowout wins or losses, just to see how good or bad he performs. Mikel has a "fairley" small chance of overcoming all of his setbacks, and demonstrate that he is still worth the efforts that the Lions' brass made to move up in the draft to select him, but RBs are of course, not as important as they were during the Smith/Sanders era. He may very well not get as much time as he would have, pre-busts, to prove that he still belongs on the team's roster.
Leshoure, however, definitely needs to issue a statement through the media, after his arraignment, obviously depending on the outcome of his plea/judgement/sentencing....AND in addition to whatever the NFL and Lions may decide to further punish Mikel with, by fine(s) and probably also slapping him with a suspension, with an explanation of his illegal drug activities, and make a very sincere apology to the Lions, his teammates, Lions fans/boosters, and the NFL. I know that it would be just the "usual" dumb-jock sheepish yadda-yadda, with a "heartfelt" promise to keep his nose clean from now on, but it still has to be done nonetheless, IMO.
