Leshoure on his way out?

Being a professional athlete does not make you indestructable. Its the luck of the draw man, why dont u get that?

its not dumb comment if its true....the knock on him being a feature back his entire career has been cause he will get injured. He comes here....is the focal point of the offense.....and gets injured numerous times in 2 games. They didnt listen to all the warnings in regards to mush brain....it backfired. they didnt listen to all the warnings about Bush....and so far imo he looks more like a china shop than a football player.

Okay, I might buy that. But tell me, why do the Lions have the worst "luck of the draw" in football?

Maybe if they take the risky precautions out of it then we will improve in that area. Best, concussed before we drafted him, Broyles was injured when we drafted him, Bush has had injury problems before we traded for him..

Injuries will happened at the NFL even if you were healthy in college but the Lions don't have to make it hard on themselves.

to have a lot of your gameplan focused around any 1 player is dumb. There should always be other options. Its was painfully obvious that once reggie was out linehan didn't have a clue what the hell he was going to do....was bad bad coaching with a bad gameplan.

Good job mayhew....teams offered you something for a guy you have inactive every week and you passed it up. Good job.

Mikel Leshoure - RB - Lions Mikel Leshoure said he feels "like I'm better than a reserve player and I have more to give."
"I just want to play," Leshoure said. "I want to play. Like I said before, there’s a lot of speculation just because of the fact that I’m not on the field and people just wondering what’s going on. But I want to play, and that’s it." With Reggie Bush (knee) inactive last week, Leshoure was a game day active but played zero snaps behind Joique Bell and Theo Riddick. Leshoure is reportedly "wide open" to being traded, but the Lions "quickly rebuffed" trade offers from the Colts last week and from other interested teams in training camp.

if Bell goes down whos our power back? I like the rb depth weve got.

Like i said before, Bush is injury prone, Bell has never been a starter and Riddick is a question mark. You have no idea what was offered? Was it worth it? Probably not. Leshoure is actually important to this team because of the injury history and lack of experience in our backfield. GREAT job, Mayhew.

We'll have Montell Owens back by week 8 or 9 (whenever the short-term IR ends). He could theoretically do it. Until then I'd be fine rolling with Bell, hoping he doesn't get injured. And even if he does get injured, we could probably pick up someone just for short yardage situations.

In my opinion, if we get an offer for Leshoure + draft picks, giving us a solid #2 WR, take it. I think the benefit of a solid #2 WR would outweigh the risk we'd be taking with Bell as our only power back until Owens comes back.

was it a bag of popcorn? Butter? Salt? Deal..

Because of our lack of depth and Bush being injury prone, I don't think I'd give up Leshoure right now unless we got a #2 WR or a 3rd round pick or higher (not likely). As much as you hate him, he usually falls forward, which is half the battle in short yardage situations. And with our improving O-line, he still has some value.

Hughes hates him because of his YPC. Its the only way to judge a RB....you didnt know that? lol

LeShoure is so important that he's carried the ball 0 times in 2013. When Bush was out against the Skins he was still in active. Schwartz doesn't have a plan for Mike L. - that should tell you something. I'd take a bag of purees for him right now.

Leshoure was on the ACTIVE roster against the Redskins. If Joique had gotten injured, he would've filled in for him. 3rd paragraph in the article.

I'm not saying he's a great player, but the risk reward of not having a power back if Bell goes down isn't worth it if we only get a low round pick (5th, 6th, or 7th).

Then you throw. I'm just saying, for a 2nd round pick Schwartz doesn't seem to want him and his value seems to suck.

Of course you would....you're an idiot. Period.

Theres an obvious plan for the guy. You have a backfield that has an injury history and not much experience. Bush goes down and you have Bell as our bell cow and Riddick as our backup....thats suicide for Bell. Hello Kevin fn Smith or some scrub off the street. You want that? Yeah, you probably do....good for you.

Bottom line, you dont trade a player just to trade him. Or if you hate him like you fn morons do. Leshoure, believe it or not has some value on this team. He's plan C which could happen. You dont get rid of him for nothing......get it? No, you dont...

Given his lack of playing time Schwartz hates him too, but then again I think he's an idiot so I can see where you are coming from.

Figures. You dont know shit either. Schwartz hates him? Not because he has better options or anything, right? Its pure hatred..lol. Where do you fn guys come up with this shit? You do realize, and i hope this never happens, if Bush goes down for a long period of time, this team is fucked with their RB situation if they traded Leshoure. Dont you understand that? If they trade him, they need to make it worthwhile.....

and if you want to call me an idiot, you fn clown, can you at least know wtf you're talking about. You clueless motherfuckers.
