And regardless, 7 or 9 %. the point is it is 3% more than the league average. Get the weapons to the league average and Stafford has 3% better comp %. You lose no matter what site you get your info from.

But way to not understand the point.

Bush 10, Bell 6 Riddick 1, Calvin 10, Durham 10, Burleson 4, Edwards 1, Ross 2, Broyles 3, Fauria 1, Dickerson 2, Scheffler 3, Pettigrew 5

58 drops.

not everybody agrees what passes are "dropped" One site may say it was a drop and another may say it was not a good enough pass to be considered a drop. It is subjective.

A higher than normal by about 3% drop rate and 12 non QB fumbles screwed Stafford. That is a fact.

And only 22 turnovers forced (20 not counting def TDS) made life harder for Stafford than a bunch of QBs in the league. Russel Wilson being number 1 with 39 turnovers forced from his defense.

34 turnovers forced, (7 def TDs but mainly the 27 other turnovers) helped Stafford get 41 TDs. So did having Wrs 1-3 and TE healthy for all 16 games. It's a team game.

Both sites have the Lions 3% higher than the league average though. Both sites agree the Lions drop them more at a higher rate. It's the same criteria acroos the board on one site and the same criteria across the board on the other(but each site may differ from the other in criteria but not for each team). And both times, Lions have 3% more drops. That's the point.

you say Stafford was hurt by lack of help with #2 & #3 WRs but other than Durham it was his main 3 weapons that did most of damage when it comes to dropped passes.

In terms of separation into tight windows. They can cause incompletions too. Forces to Calvin because nobody else is open will do the trick too to hurt the comp %. It wasn't just drops.

Bush did hurt him and he's always had a drop problem. He needs to fix that but his talent and other productivity makes you live with Bushs drops. Fumbles is the big fix for Bush. Calvin had a broken finger he had surgery on. I expect Calvin to have less drops. And Durham shouldn't play.

I get that PFF is your favorite stat site but just like WAR in baseball they have their flaws.

Every stat site had Detroit 3% above the league average. The point is Stafford was at a 3% disadvantage compared to most QBs. Some more.

So 3% disadvantage. Your argument is he should be the 17th best rated QB in 2013 not the 19th?

At least he imprved over a bad 2012. He went from a poor QB to an almost average QB. Great.

Drops are just one thing. No WR 2/3 or TE separation. And only 22 turnovers forced by his defense. Other QBs got more.

29 TDs, really a low 60% and a shit ton of yards due to leading the team to a ton of first downs. Stafford is a good QB that can improve too (footwork).

how about this stat....the lions were at a 100% disadvantage in the 4th quarter cause matt Stafford was our QB.

we have high drops every year....whats the common denominator?....oh....g....Stafford is our qb.

Dallas game, Redskins game, Vikings game, Browns game, at Chicago big 4th Quarter TD, made great plays in 4th against Buc but Durham/Calvin messed up and against Ravens a great TD drive late in game (long FG messed that one up). Plus crushed GB and Chicago at home.

Stafford is a clutch QB.

Once again you are clueless. Drops are on the receivers first of all, but second when Stafford had all his weapons, WR 1-3 and TE for all 16, the drops were around league average rate. 6% in 2011. He loses weapons, the drops and incompletes(due to bad separation) pile up.

youre clueless. most of the drops come from CJ, Pettigrew and Bush which totally discredits your post. Ps....Stafford choses to throw to small windows all the time instead of the open man...cause he doesn't go thru progressions. He locks on and lets it rip.

Separation is not drops. And Durham leads the team. Calvin broken finger. Drops are not on stafford. You are clueless if you think they are

Some aren't, maybe most. But some are..I've seen passes labeled drops on passes when a guy barely gets to the ball. Has to leap and barely gets fingers on it, pass is behind the guy, or gets hit simultaneous when double covered. Those shouldn't be considered drops.

yet another reason Stafford sucks.....he brought durham here. he cant blame anyone but himself...

Durham only played so much due to 3 injuries. Burleson, Broyles and Titus. He's a big target, has chemistry, you take a flier on a guy like that on the waiver wire for sure.
