Levy out for the opener and possibly longer...

Awesome, not even used as a situational pass rusher when we're not getting pressure on the qb. I expect more creativity from Austin. Wtf is going on, there?

We pressured Rivers 17 drop backs including 2 sacks. Rivers kills the blitz. He did last year too. Rivers went 8/8 against the blitz. Sending Van Noy wouldn't have helped. Tulloch and Mathis just need to cover better. We need Levy back to stop these stupid dink crossing routes and screens.

That is one reason Rivers is better than Matt...he has success under pressure!

Dink crossing routes with Tulloch gimping around and Levy out.

Stafford had success. Ints both may not be his fault. Ebron drop, sack killed a drive, Tate stopped short on one, Abdullah tackled short on one on a run.

This isn't on Stafford.

I don't think really anyone has put this game on Stafford. The defense wilted.

But my god, is it really that wrong to expect your franchise QB to play better and elevate the team when they need him most? His arm looked shot in the 2nd half, and he was missing some easy throws.

Where is your PFF grade showing how great Tulloch is as a cover LB?

Everyone here could see it in the preseason.....SD clearly did, too.

Tulloch was good. Fact in 2011-2014. He can play better. It was one game. Levy there and Tulloch won't have to do so much.

One pre-season game doesn't tell all. Stafford was perfect in pre-season by the way.

Lions also went 4-0 the season they went 0-16 in the preseason.

You know you are desperate when you are pulling out the preseason.

I didn't say it was on Stafford...I said that Rivers is better than Stafford due to his success under pressure.

Rivers dinked and dunked and Allen and Johnson did the work. One pick was on Rivers too.

Allen wasn't doubled like Calvin all day either.

You just assume Stafford was out there throwing 30-40 yard passes and Rivers was throwing 5 yard dump offs all game. Stafford had plenty of short routes.

Since when is hitting an open man for a short pass a bad thing?

If CJ was doubled all day then at least one other player should have had one on one. Maybe your boy genius Austin should have doubled Allen!

33% over 10 yards for Stafford on the day.
21% over 10 yards for Rivers

Plus Allen was open, Calvin was not.

Flowers and Verrett did a great job. Mathis and Ihedigbo did not play well and made it easy for Rivers. As well as Tulloch.

Abdullah and Ebron produced. It was the Abdullah stuff running on 3rd down, pressure for int, pressure for sack on 3rd down unblocked, miscommunication with Tate on int and Tate short of stick on 3rd and 10 that killed drives plus an Ebron drop.

Stafford made the right reads.

Do you even watch the game?

So if I'm doing my math right with what you are giving me:

Stafford 30 attempts, 33 percent of them over 10 yards= 9.9 throws over 10 yards
Rivers 42 attempts, 21 percent of them over 10 yards= 8.82 throws over 10 yards

WOW, huge difference.

And what does "Allen was open, Calvin was not" mean? I'm sorry dude, the guy covering Calvin is a midget. Whether it's on the coaching staff, or Stafford failing to recognize that, he should be WAY more involved.

yes...I watched your "top 5 defense" get carved up for 500 yards and 33 points. I watched the improved 2-4 DTs not able to get to Rivers. I saw your great secondary get torched for 404 yards. I saw your top notch coaching staff getting out coached. I saw your "elite" QB mostly ineffective until SD went to the prevent defense.

Did I miss anything?

Man, son of a bitch - shit, just stop already. First post after a bad loss "Those INT might not be on Matt." Lol. This was a team loss as if there ever was one, and that includes Matt. No ones just blaming Matt, you become a more obvious troll.

Calvin was doubled. Verett snuffed out Tate. Allen was getting wide open. My grandma could have hit him on those intermediate ins and crossing routes.

Maybe we should have her suit up for the Lions. Be nice to have someone that can hit crossing routes. Tired of it being high and behind.

So you dodged my point. You said Rivers was dinking and dunking all game, and then when you provided the stats, it backfired.

Come on man. Enough. You had the entire season to spew your trollerade. This is a good team, but they are not nearly as good as you portrayed them.

It didn't backfiire. Only 21% was Rivers over 10 yards. And Allen was wide open

Dink and dunk Rivers. Deep shots from Stafford. Calvin was doubled and Verett blanketed Tate.

Stafford had a better game than Rivers did.
