And yes. ..caldwell is a bozo. Need a clue....watch the timeout right before a long missed fg to give Denver 3 points.

Get StartedI really hope the Lions clean house after this year. Caldwell probably won't go anywhere, but Mayhew and Lombardi should be forced out

Wasn't there a penalty on that play?
I think you are right. The timeout was earlier in the game when Denver was lining up for a 60 yard FG. The penalty on the missed 52 yard FG was for too many people on one side of the ball (didn't even know that was a rule)

If Mayhew goes out they all go out.
I am to the point that I believe this needs to be a reality.......baring an 11-2 finish to the season.
It's time. I thought Mayhew deserved more time than a normal GM takeover because of how HORRIBLY bad that team was in '09. They needed 52 NFL caliber players. But this is enough of the same shit.
I have no idea how Lombardi can keep his job. I don't. If he were a shift manager at McDonalds and he performed that bad....they would can his ass. We keep him around hoping for a miracle.
It's been 20 games..........the NFL average for points scored during the entire Lombardi era is 22.58. We have hit that number 6 times. In 20 games. 30% of the time. That's it. With CJ.....Tate.....Ebron......Bush.....Bell.....Abdullah.....Stafford. 30 fucking PERCENT.
HOW???? How do you keep your job with performance like that??
Thought so. And Hughes says i need the clue lol.
He called a timeout right before a missed fg.

I think the timeout he called is when they lined up for a 60 yard try in an attempt to draw the Lions offsides. They were going to take a delay of game call. They never kicked it.

Lombardi needs to be fired immediately
I clearly remember watching them kick it. We would have got the ball with great field position. But we "lionsed" the play.

The announcers were popping off about the terrible play calling near the very end. I laughed when they said that the Lions were going to be forced to take a shot at the end zone at some point being that they were down two scores. In typical Lions fashion, they waited until 4th down and threw an incomplete pass.
Lombardi is terrible. We are trying to run an old, well-known Saints scheme and making no secrets about it. You can't tell me that the competition doesn't know the vast majority of what we're running just by the formations. What makes it even worse is that we do a much worse job of executing this system than Brees and the Saints did, and we aren't taking advantage of Calvin's size/speed combo by stretching the field.
And Golen Tate getting phased out of the offense lol. Lombardi is a genius
By a penalty....not by a TO.
