Lion/Giants MNF

I'd be mad

Lol I have no idea why a gorilla looking at a flying lawnmower makes me laugh, but it does.

I don't think they'll fall for the charade again Mitch

I think the Lions should win big but it will be too close for comfort with the Giants defense getting good pressure all day. Lions get one more turnover forced by their defense and that is the difference in a close one.
21-20 Lions

And if Lions lose, Carolina is must win or they are done.

What charade? The only charade is you got people to think it was all a setup to get them "through" the off-season. Lol. People will believe anything..

Still in denial huh? Had to spark the conversation.

Anywhere from 6-11 wins wouldn't suprise me with this team. All hinges on the turnovers, which it may just be the players and not the coaching. We'll see.

Ah, the old reversal .. From future fact optimist to real guy. When you get to 'hughes let me know. The transformation will be complete.

If they finish 8 wins or worse, Mayhew should be gone.

What happens if it becomes clear that the coaching hires were a mistake? I'm optimistic myself, but let's say the secondary steps and plays at an average to above average level. Let's say the D-line is legitimately a strength. Let's say Stafford doesn't blow it in the fourth quarter and the offense stays healthy. But at the same time, let's say the team finishes 8-8 due to a vanilla playbook that opponents regularly exploit.

As much as I want to team to win, I also just want to know what exactly the team is capable of. Are we a talented team being done in by poor coaching, or a mediocre team that just isn't capable of truly contending.

I won't put all the blame on Mayhew. He's made a lot of good decision and even some of the good ones have backfired. But at some point, when you're not getting it done no matter what the reason, you need to move on.

Mayhew gets this year to prove it.

Who would you want hughes? A young up and coming personnel guy or an experienced GM.

Put it on Stafford. He successfully got our coaching staff fired last year. Good job Stafford. Maybe this year his victim will be Mayhew???

Stafford has done some good things. No excuses with the weapons he has right now though. Let' see if they stay healthy and how Stafford does.
