Lion/Giants MNF

I don't doubt Stafford will be better this year. Can't deny that Stafford pissed on Schwartz and Linehan the last 8 games though.

I don't put all the picks on Stafford. Some of them for sure though. With better weapons, we make the playoffs easily last year. And linehan was pretty predictable in play calling and didn't even try to fix the fumbles or picks. That's a coaching problem if he accepts 34 turnovers.

I'm glad their gone, don't get me wrong. Lions mightve made the playoffs with no coaching staff down the stretch.

I wont arguee he didnt play like crap down the stretch. But the old coaching staff never held him accountable for his mechanics/footwork and decision making.

Part of the meltdown was on them too.

Injury report:
Ihedigbo(knee/neck); out of practice
Carey(hamstring); out of practice

Ihedigbo already being injured is a problem. Our safety depth is not that great, although Isa Abdul-Quddus looked decent in the preseason.

Hopefully Reid can get healthy. I think he can be a solid rotation player.

I won't put all the blame on Mayhew. He's made a lot of good decision and even some of the good ones have backfired. But at some point, when you're not getting it done no matter what the reason, you need to move on.

Mayhew gets this year to prove it.

Who would you want hughes? A young up and coming personnel guy or an experienced GM.

I don't know upper management personnel very well.... I think Xanders got the short end of the stick in Denver.....he made some great picks in mid rounds to build solid depth on that team....then got shit on by Mcdaniels getting there and forcing his hand to make awful picks like tebow that paved way for Elway taking over that team. If anything I think hed be more stable than what mayhew has done so far. but im not going to pretend to know anything about some "young up and coming" personel guys....no clue.

Ihedigbo back at practice today. ..

Nice. Still doesn't practice much, seems familiar. Dix is looking like he should have been the pick even more now. Ebron - Dix swap would be awesome right about now

Dix looked really sweet on that botched tackle on Lockette for the TD though. And he couldn't wrap up Lynch on a for sure TFL. He's soft.

Yeah, this is definitely a "should" win for the Lions. Giants have an entire new OL, and entire team is a shell of former greatness. Should be one of those blowout MNF games that only the victorious team and fans enjoy. Lions +21 IMHO.

I called up Caldwell and told him to go for 2pt conversion so I could be right for once.
Yep,TOOT goes my horn! Oh wait, sorry, that was just gas. Well just be thankful you don't have that device that let's you smell things through the computer yet and we'll call it a night

The perfect season prediction is on the table zyxt.
