I am just glad we got this deal done. Staff and CJ together if healthy have the ability to rewrite NFL record books. And although he is the highest paid player in the NFL right now I do believe CJ took less money than he could have made. I like how a lot of our key players have stepped up and helped the organization.

True story. With Stafford and Calvin alone the Lions are competitive. Just look at the Lions winning 3 of 4 down the stretch with little injury plagued defense(though Charger game they showed up) and Raiola,Backus,Peterman and Gosder still the Lions Oline(all Millen pick ups) and no running game with the top two backs hurt.

Like I said in a previous post those guys won't count once we get the draft picks and fill out the roster but right now they do count at around 3 million total for the 9. We don't have 51 players signed. 48 including those 9 so they count for now. But will come off the books as bigger contracts are signed.
