Lions listening to offers for Tate and traded to the Eagles

Stafford never makes ANYONE better! Use your brain, Tony!

Ive actually stated the exact opposite in regards to Tate. He was worthless before he came here and i suggested he would be worthless when he left and should heavily consider a hometown discount if he wanted to stay relevant. Someone will overpay him this off season....but they shouldnt.

I?m fine if the Lions want Tate back....but at the right price. Like it or not, we NEED one or two WR that can regularly beat man coverage. M. Jones is ok at it. Golladay is ok at it.TJ Jones sucks balls. Ellington is ok. Tate would be a great addition if the price is right.

Teams are DARING us to beat them deep and we can?t. Not on a regular basis (yes, some of that is Staffords fault). When is the last time you saw a completion where our WR easily won the battle at the LOS?

I don't think there are a lot of WRs out there that "regularly" beat man coverage. Maybe the "elite" guys do it on a regular basis.

Gotta realize that Tate isn't coming back here. That's the mindset i'm having. Golladay is a monster and is a true #1. MJ is still a very good WR and should stick at the #2 spot. I'll be honest, I liked what I saw from Ellington. His only real issue is staying healthy. He can play. IMO, they're missing a TE that is at least somewhat of a threat. Nobody fears guys like Willson, Roberts, Toilolo or any other shmuck at the TE position. Having a good TE opens up the field for your playmakers to make plays. Look at the fucking Chiefs for example. Kelce does so much for that offense IMO.

Tate wasn't worthless in Seattle though. He stepped up when guys went down. I didn't think he would be good here in Detroit though. I was dead wrong on that...
But a hometown discount to come back? That's funny. Brother is getting paid and my prediction is the Cleveland Browns. Gut feeling....

I'd rather the Lions take a shot in the draft than pay Tate. Both Marvin and Golladay are UFAs in 2021 and I don't really want to see them dishing out mid-to-high level contracts for three receivers.

Not sure if it was this article or another but I read that the HC was having a hard time trying to figure how to use Tate in his offense. Seems simply pass him the ball and let him do what he does best - make people missing.

Good. Lower his FA value and bring that MoFo back!!

I thought Wentz was God tho!!!! He's surely 20x the QB Stafford is, right?! Tate should be taking the NFL by storm with Wentz behind the wheel lol. Gee...I guess not.

Gotta be honest, I thought Tate would pick up right where he left off, not better, not worse. Philly not understanding how to use his is pretty stupid. We gave you the fucking blueprint

Think he'd come back? I'm not so sure about that. He wanted to stay, and I think the Lions broke his heart by trading him, lol.

Meh, he could've signed an extension. He wanted free agency. For him to not understand the Lions wanted to get something in return is on him.

I think he WOULD....but he?ll ask too much. My guess is the Lions will reach out to him and show interest....but he?ll eventually sign a bigger deal somewhere else.

I just like Tate....I know there?s little chance he returns.

They offered him a contract I doubt they raise that. He might have liked playing here but he wants his money.

Lions could have realized how much they need him and offer him a little more

If they get to over 60 million in room, they could do that and structure it on like a 3 year deal
