Hang on, I'm going to be bringing everyone back to reality a moment. Not to be negative, just as an observation to see what others think.
I like adding the no-huddle as a change of pace, but I thought these past few years what they really needed was being able to have long, ball controlled, eat the fucking clock down to nothing type of drives. Seemed they had the lead in the 4th quarter but lost due to being unable to havr a nice long drive for a TD.
Additionally, as we Wolverine fans should easily remember, a no-huddle O can result in the D being on the field longer and getting more tired instead of rested.
I just hope they have a good grasp of how and when to use it as a way to change the tempo and possibly the game, keep the opponent D off balance, but for that to work they need to have the other side of it, ball control with proper time and game management as well. I would love to see them even mix it up on the same drive. The less predictacle the better, but this gives impression the new guys are not recognizing the problem the Lions had was the opposite of no huddle offense.
Sorry for being negative, just putting it out there and hopefully these guys will manage both extremes well. Sometimes a good quick score can be a back-breaker so I do like them working on it too.
