Lions rework contract of DT Akeem Spence then trade him to Dolphins

Ragnow and kerryone were the correct value
Crosby and hand were steals in their round
Walker reach but if hes good it doesnt matter..many thought golladay was a reach. They were wrong

g

Ragnow was a reach for need unless he turns out to be Alex mack.

Kerryon and hand were the correct value from where we took them.... but not after you factor in the loss of picks.

Crosby wad the best value in the draft for us.

Walker slight reach...quinn went and got a guy he liked. We will see if he even sees the field this year.

All of that is predicated on where the mock draftnicks thought they would go... and honestly has no bearing on real world football in any way.

There is not one guy anywhere who knows where someone is realistically going to be drafted and is doing a blog, column, article, or mock draft. If they did, they would be an NFL scout. Simple as that.

Everything you read about where someone should go is absolute bullshit. The only thing that matters is where the scouts think they should go, and they don't write about it.

Decker Glagow Ragnow Lang and Wagner . Such a great looking oline. Dahl wiggins wesley johnson crosby and corey robinson is nice depth too

Sometimes I question our scouts. Like after they selected Ebron at 10.

And you're a blind homer.

And you're a know nothing doofus when it comes to discussing football. You know zero about the NFL and you know squat about college. You admit it time and time again lol. Then you give your opinion on the Lions lol. It's fucking comical

Well said, Ink! I have been saying this forever. If a team likes/loves a certain player then you go fucking get him. End of story...

You don't have to know who hand is to realize it's not good value. I watch a ton of college football... love hand.

Raiders trade a 3rd rd pick for maryavis Bryant... good value

Lions use a 4th and a 3rd on hand who is not known for getting to the qb.... not good value.

Pretty simple really.

Bryant is good value? The guy is a crapshoot. He has the talent but he's a liability. I guess he's worth rolling the dice but I wouldn't be surprised if he fell flat on his face.

Hand is a roll the dice guy too. Untapped potential that we're hoping comes through. I question the trade as well but they liked him and he wasn't going to be there.

Both players are a high risk high reward type players.

Because this team has been so good at building this team into a winner. It might be better if they selected based on a mock.

Ya smartest guy in the room approach has worked wonders for this organization.

Do we really have the same scouts in 2018 despite every other front office and coaching position being turned over? That might be the best job security ever if true (which I highly doubt).

Not sure if you ever here when scouts get canned so who knows.

Plenty of coaches stayed. Wr and rb coach, Al Golden, cooter and Marciano and Godsey

Mocks have been proven time and time again that they don't matter. Just because 10 mocks had us taking Harold Landry at 20, that doesn't mean he automatically becomes a Lion. The Lions had a choice. Fix the run game or go defense? They chose the run game. Now, we can speculate, scream and yell, throw shit, get mad, be happy or whatever about the pick they chose but there's one thing I know for sure. They can't make everyone happy. They should have done this or that...blah blah blah. They went after a weakness and strengthened that weakness through the draft and free agency. Of course there's still holes but every team has holes.

Quin went after his guys and decided to attempt to fix the run game and neglect every other facet of the game... Super obvious. It's one of those drafts that will make him a genius or a dud. This draft doesn't improve the run game then it was an absolute waste...Every...single... pick.... wasted.

Or... run game fixed. We win a bunch of games. And he's a genius.

Of course mocks don't matter. It was a joke. But a joke that has some merit unless you're happy with 9-7. Defense wins in this game.

Like that matters. People are still talking about the Ebron pick for crying out loud. I remember last draft when people on this board were raking Quinn over the coals for taking Golladay over Darboh (or anyone).

Even if he hits on Johnson and Walker...people will still be yammering about Ebron and Kamara. Because we're Lions fans and that's what we do.

I suspect if we won playoff games and made a run at a SB no one would give a damn about Ebron. He gets mentioned because we still go 9-7 and no playoff wins.

You severely underestimate the fickleness of our fan base. Win a playoff game and the narrative becomes "what does it really matter, the point is to win a Super Bowl?" A third of the NFL hasn't won a Super Bowl and we act like we're some cursed franchise. We're like Philly without the over the top nastiness. It's unique in how it reacts to every win, loss, setback, and progression with the same amount of skepticism regardless of how pieces change.

How many times did we hear from people that things wouldn't change unless Ford Sr was dead or sold the team. That happened and people are still holding onto decisions and results from when he was in charge. I'm optimistic about the direction the team is headed and no amount of 'Same Old Lions' bullshit rhetoric is going to change that.
