We haven't had this many awesome jokes since Zack Follet. I sure hope he beats out Akers, because this train needs to keep on rolling.

I don't think it will say anything that his 2012 season didn't already say.
I don't think Akers is cooked... but it's no surprise that he's on the downside of a good career. If he gets beat out by a guy with no experience, it's because he's on the slide and this kid is pretty darned good.
From Akers perspective though, I'd have to imagine this is a pretty big motivator.
