Lions, vikings , And Packers Schedules

Jesus even the Buccaneers? Yuck.

Even the Panthers, who became an expansion NFL/NFC franchise in 1995, has won 6 NFCS titles, 9 playoff wins, and 2 NFC championships.

Now that the one constant in WCF Sr. during the Lions franchise long history of futility, has finally bit the dust, maybe its fortunes will quickly improve

Seriously I don't think a bye week does this team any favors. Sure it gives guys time to heal, but they had that earlier in the season and barely beat a crappy Jags team AT HOME. Caldwell said they had trouble readjusting to in game intensity...well the intensity gets amped up at playoff time..and they ain't gonna be playing the Jags in the playoffs.

You mean a bye week in the playoffs doesn't do this team any favors??

Well, I hate to be captain obvious here... But getting a home playoff game to get to the NFC finals is substantially better than having to play the WC game.

Seattle has a cake schedule the last facing 3 NFC West teams (2 home). Lions will earn that bye if they get it.

Beat Giants and go Bears

Yep. What worries you guys the most about the Giants game? I think we have a good chance to limit Beckham, and will pay a lot of attention to him. Their other receivers are very capable of shredding us by paying such close attention to Beckham. I think Diggs replacement, and Lawson are going to be tested as often as possible, and Beckham will play as a little more than a decoy IMO. I'm already nervous about this game.

I'm not a big Eli fan, but if you give him time he will crush you. He's not very good under pressure. Creating pressure has been the worst aspect of the Detroit Lions defense this season. I like Slay a lot, but I don't care who you are, if you let OBJ run around for too long Eli is going to find him often.

So to answer your question, my concern is creating pressure. And I also think you severely underrate OBJ. He is not a decoy in any game unless his foot is amputated.

Good point, now I'm more worried. Thanks for that, lol

No pressure is the achilles heel of this defense. Wouldn't mind spending SEVERAL draft picks on the dline, and acquiring a few situational pass rushers. Maybe they'll send Levy on some blitzes this weekend or get Whitehead rushing the passer more. Something has gotta give in us getting to the qb. Ziggy Ansah has 0 sacks, that is fucking blasphemy, whether he's at 50% or 100%. Dial up some plays for him to at least get to the qb in some way. Its unbelievable, this is the guy that some thought would push for 20 sacks this year.

Bears could surprise the Packers. Barkley has looked better, their D is solid and Howard can ball. Jeffrey will be back

Bears are 3-3 at home, 0-7 on road. The game is at Soldier Field. Packers are red hot but have their flaws

Its the lions. The expectation should be an epic collapse and not make the playoffs filled with bad ref calls to lose us games, weird new rules made up in our games to make us lose, a couple major injuries, our coaches fucking up the game and clock, and a bunch of scrubs on other teams making history on us. That is the norm for this franchise....anything other than that is icing on the cake :D

So we are pulling for the rams tonight? Those neon radiation green uni's my god, they should start playing these neon Thursday games in the dark, glow in the dark Thursday night football!

Doesn't look like the Packers will lose. All comes down to next week. Though a win Monday might guarantee a playoff spot.

It's easy now, if we lose out and Redskins win next week (they pretty much won today) we go nowhere, or if TB wins this week and next. Win Monday, lose VS GB - we get in if TB loses once (we should have conference tie-breaker). Beat GB, we in for sure..

I know it won't happen but I would sure love to pound the Packers by 20+ and just punish Aaron.

Being at home helps but I suspect if we win it will be a close game. Those Packers though, and Rodgers are playing good. And we've all seen game 16's that's never seem to go our way.
