The Lions are firing offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi and offensive line coaches Jeremiah Washburn and Terry Heffernan.

Caldwell- "There are no changes."

People are now fired.

There is ZERO control on this team.

He's not going to announce them before he tells the guy. Or some sort of major argument or pressure from GM/owners

LOL. People callinig for his head. Now they are pissed he is fired.

If they continue to suck, Caldwell will be gone too. Caldwell has 9 games to save himself. Which he probably won't.

Dude, I'm saying it's a bad look about how Caldwell and the team handled it. How about pushing the presser back a day or two? Caldwell goes out there and reminds us how little control he has.

Firing these coaches was the right call. I think the offense will show an initial uptick for 2-3 games (improved effort as the shake up rocks the players a bit) before falling back to normal (read: bad).

Holy crap, they finally did something!!!

this....im happy the franchise isn't showing complete ineptitude and just do nothing after the pathetic performances weve been watching. They should have canned Caldwell as well for letting it happen.....and mayhew should be gone today as well. But baby steps I suppose.

Miami showed you can put out a good game after canning coaches. Hopefully we don't use the: they need time to adjust, if they struggle. It's too late to save the season, people are playing to save their jobs. If this offense struggles still time to think about what guys can and need to be cut.

not far enough, Caldwell, mayhew and that other drunk guy should have all been canned to!

maybe next time.
