We should have known that a first year OC would not be a good thing for Matt.

Get StartedI still say it starts with the QB and other players. Even when the right play is called, passes are missed or dropped..players are messing up.
No, you don't fire him.
It's his first year, and he obviously has a long way to go. But you don't bring a guy in KNOWING he's never done the job, and not let him learn on his feet.
You have a shitload of meetings with him. You tell him you want a revised playbook before the draft. You take precautions to protect your team... but you don't fire him.
You believed in this guy enough to give him a shot, and now you have to let him take the pains and bruises and try to bounce back.
if you gave me the job at the start of the year.....I could guarantee you id improve by next year. That doesn't mean id be any good just because I was improving!!!! He turned one of the better offenses in the league into a heaping pile of garbage. Meanwhile Linehan is getting praise all over every sports channel today saying how hes Romos savior.
Just cause he improves next year....doesn't mean he will be any good. Mayhew/Caldwell got this one wrong and the sooner you move on the better. The ingame coaching is even worse than the initial gameplan. NE game for example...you saw a conscious effort to develop plays for certain players. Then poof....all that went away by the middle of the first quarter. If you cant adjust in this league...you are toast. Lions will have no chance with him leading our offense.
That proves one thing, that Romo was good before Linehan and with Linehan. And that Matt is average or below with Linehan or without. Matt hasn't changed much from last years..
What changed was the OL was probably not quite as good as it showed last year..and with guys getting hurt and older guys, Sims and DR.
Bottom line, its not near on the coaches as the players.
I could not disagree more with this.... Stafford is far worse than he was last season, or any previous season.
In fact, I think he was better off sitting on a bench with his shoulder blown out than what he is doing negatively on the field.
However, I have not seen any evidence that anyone could be leading this team. The offense is a mess. The play calling is horrible. Every offensive player is out of sync with everyone else.
The line. The receivers. The backs. The QB... it's all shit right now.
But you don't fire the guy. You give him another season to iron it out... with a contingency plan in place.
You have to re-watch the 2012 season again. Horrific. IMO, that season was more on Matt than anyone else. This season, he's been bad (I wouldn't bat an eye if he was released) but the whole offense including the rook OC have been a joke. Last year Matt looked better because the OL was better, veteran OC etc.
But Matt is Scott Mitchell.

NOOOO.... come on... Matt is playing like shit, but Scott Mitchell is a stretch bro.
We've seen Stafford put up elite years. 2011 he was really the third best QB in the league. We know he can play at a high level.
And really, look at the play calling. Look at how lost every receiver looks at the end of every throw. Who would be doing any better out there? No one.
It's a wreck. Something didn't work. What is wrong, I don't know, but they better figure it out quick.
That offense has the talent to be great, but nothing is gelling, and only the guys in that locker room will ever know why.

And I am telling you bro... book it now.. write it down....
Stafford will win CHAMPIONSHIPS with this team. You got that? Am I clear enough now??
... I have no idea which championships. Maybe he is a great Scrabble player. How are his Nintendo skills? Tiddly Winks? Marbles?
Doesn't matter.. Matty Hardware will be his nickname forever more.
The O line is in shambles maybe they should consider actually drafting more need one of these years?
