I'm shocked neither position has been filled yet. It's a clear indicator FSN & Ilitch are looking hard to find outside names for Detroit's lead announcer role.

The color-role (2nd chair) could remain a carousel / smorgasbord of names/faces for all 162 games. Gibby, Morris, Petry and Monroe for instance.

Bring back Mr. Kaline. Other choices Willie Horton. Jim Price. Bill Freehan

It most definitely won't be Freehan, due to major health problems.
Price already sits next to Dickerson and He's on the verge of being replaced soon, due to health concerns. Of course, I have said that about Jim for a few years now.

Price is one of those guys that will need to be removed from the Comerica Park radio booth.... by security force or ambulance. He has stated a few times that the Tigers org would need to pry him from that chair, to remove him.

Talk about someone that loves his job. Well that's Jim Price in a nutshell

I have, for the past few years, gotten tired of the TV broadcast. They talk about the stupidest things. I understand they have to fill the air but talk about baseball.. Anyway, I might just start listening to the game and turn the TV sound off. Not sure radio is any different when it comes to talking about dumb things. Now I just have to figure out how to get the radio broadcasts here in Arizona. Maybe MLB Audio. Though now that I'm thinking about it I might just get that and forgo MLB.tv.

As Rod would once say re: this whole fight “that’s not a good remedy for success”

Kaline is going to be 84 on the 19th this month.
I think he is happy to go in the broadcast booth a couple times a season, although he is at the home games in a private booth.
My guess is Horton will also show up a small handful of times. Probably all the big names, Trammell, Lolich, Morris, etc. will do a game or two the upcoming season.

Yeah, Those were like my dream choices.
