His Dad is quoted as saying the ‘priorities’ at Michigan are different than other schools and it’s not ‘just about winning at football, but winning at life!’

Sounds like a swipe at Bama

I think the international trips are a way Michigan walks the walk, in this regard. I can't believe other schools aren't copying this yet.

# 1 Oaks Christian beat it’s toughest game to date at 7-1 Calabasas 21-13 Final . Zach Charbonnet had all three td’s two from one yard and a ten yarder.
Pretty sure Oaks was a big favorite in this game. Not sure. I also think it cost 32,000 + to go to Oaks Christian if I looked it up right .
I just want to say WTF 32k for a private High school.

Oaks Christian won its first playoff game Friday 22-7 over Chiminade Friday. They had plenty of yards just didnt score that Much. Zach had a few big plays . Don’t think he scored but I am unsure. They also beat this team in the first game of the season 31-13. OC is in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 play off Bracket. I think they played in D2 last year . I am not sure . I have no idea how California HS football works . Heck Chiminade was 4-6 and made it in. It gets much tougher now for Oak Christian as they play JSerra Catholic next who is 9-2 only losing to St. John Bosco, and Mater Dei the two big favorites in this bracket. Who are ranked #1 and #4 in the nation by Maxpreps. Heck OC has a fighting chance they are ranked #19.

He looks great but should we be all that excited for a 3 star running back ? I do like he plays 3 different positions all very well. Running back, wide receiver, and defensive back. Shouldn’t we be going after 4 or 5 star running backs ? Just asking . Man he is a Higdon clone that is for sure.

According to the Free Press his is a 4 star. I know you are joking about running guys off but I guess kids worry about playing time. How can he think he won’t have a shot in 2020 ? That is a year in a half away ? We must have a lot of depth at DL. Why do we never hear when Nick Satan runs guys off at Alabama? Because they have found a way to have amazing depth at all the right positions .

The link I provided lists him as a 3 star. I don't really care what * he is. I don't remember ever hearing about the guy.

Yes. Seems very strange complaining about a spot on the roster when he was the only 2020 recruit committed.

I'm sure that Michigan will be fine without him.
 
Sam Webb is saying there is a lot more to the story and that we pulled the offer due to red flags. I have no clue what happened but sounds like we were the ones who walked away first.

I think I got the two guys mixed up. I saw one of the two guys highlights and he was playing all three postions very nice.. now I have to figure out which video clip I viewed lol.

It was a great high school game. Some werid playcalling . But back and forth. Man these private schools can get good players.

Zach’s highlights.
At 34:00ish minute mark he had hurdling 35 yard td. Score was 14-0 JS at the time late first quarter as they had scored on two 1 play drives each. Oaks was in a hole early.

40:00 Mark long 50 yard run . Try’s to cut back. Right at end of first q. Should have kept running . Very nice burst through the hole. 30 more yards a few plays later after a
penalty.

1:47 mark. Js up 28-17 early third. Last td was a 2 play drive. Js throws a dumb pick 6.
After flag on pat oaks c. Decided to go for 2. Zach’s leap worth a look. Neither team should pass lol.

Zach with a Long run under 2 minutes in the game helps set up winning fg.

Great Hail Mary attempt by JS on last play. So close. Oaks Christian gets to play the top team in the country next week. In the third quarter #8 number one defensive end in the country was ejected. Annoying announcers never mentioned who it was just that a player was ejected for oaks Christian. The kid said something to the official.
