Michigan Men's Basketball Recruiting

Desperately need a big recruit in the 2015 class. Even if LeVert stays. If LeVert leaves and we don't get a big time player to replace him, next year is going to be rough.

Completely disagree with that, LeVert staying or leaving. These kids have a lot of potential, they just need experience.

That's fine. I just don't see a guy who can carry a team on this roster. I do like our players, but most of them are complimentary/2nd option type guys.

I Think we do need a difference maker. Another thing I think getting a big time player is all about perception. I am flabbergasted that JB has not been able to parlay his success of the last few seasons into better players. I hope I am just missing something but it is frustrating to me the guys he is getting..

I think it's a bit of a misnomer that Beilein only gets 2 stars and turns them into champs.

Last year, he got two 4 stars (Chatman, almost a fringe 5, and Wilson)

2013, he landed two 4 stars and a 5.

2012, he landed two 4 stars and a 5 again.

In fact, he was the first guy after the 5 stars (#25). Recruited by a lot of good schools. His talent is there, it's just all mental with him right now.

Is anyone not worried about how good a class Izzo has coming in next year he has 3 top guys and JB has zero right now. I guess I a am worry wart LOL

We really only have 1 open spot. I am not worried at all. Every year Sparty fans keep telling me its their year to be back. And every year it seems they have the same team. How many players have actually gotten better and developed under Izzo in the last 10 years?

Well he has not missed the NCAA and or had a losing season.. Even with Injuries I am very disappointed in some of the results we have had this year..

It's hard for me to be disappointed, personally. Is there any doubt that if Levert and Walton were healthy all year, that this team would have turned it around and been comfortably in the tournament by the end of the year? Okay, I guess there would've been some doubt. But I think it would have happened.

It's ugly at times, but this team is fun to watch and they play hard. The "unknown" factor is also intriguing. I wonder how good some of these young guys can be at times.

I also forget that Wilson was so highly rated. I'm excited to see what he adds to the mix next year.

Izzo brings in top guys all the time. Yet looking at MSU, they are Trice, Valentine, and Dawson...that is practically their entire team and they lose Valentine and Dawson this year.

Davis is the real deal in my opinion. Ignore Izzo at our own peril.. Hopefully you guys are right.. The team never should have lost to
NJIT and EMU.. Plus we gave a few other games away we should not have..

Bunga,

Valentine is a Jr and he wont be going pro, Dawson and trice will indeed be gone. For 2 years we havent pulled any top recruits, I think Izzo is burned out on recruiting.
