Michigan Softball NCAA Regional Update

6-0 bottom of third . Run rule is in the table.

Michigan improves to 22-10 with a 7-0 shutout of Rutgers today, and won game two of the doubleheader 7-4 to strech winning streak to 11 games. Michigan is now 23-10, and 6-0 in conference.

Both baseball and softball are on TV today. Softball on ESPNU at 5 PM Eastern; men on BTN at 4 PM Eastern.
 
Fudge muffins. . Had bases loaded in bottom of the first and left them all stranded.
 
Michigan’s poor fielding leads to a Indiana run. First right fielder plays single into a triple because ball gets by her. Next batter gets a single past second man as she make a poor effort at the ball. Trail 1-0 now. Um strands another runner. Trail 1-0 top of the third.
Mid third still 1-0. Michigan takes lead 2-1 Blair homered ! Top of the fourth 2-1 Michigan.

Bottom of the fourth Michigan leads 2-1. Two out double by Peters plates two more. Top of the fifth. Michigan is up 4-1 Indiana has runners in first and second and only 1 out.
2nd and third two outs. She gets a k! Out of the jam. Fudge muffins had bases loaded and only 1 out in the fifth, and could not push any runs over. Three more left on. Heading to the top of the sixth. Bottom of the 6th. Same score.

Final score is Michigan 4-1 over Indiana. 13 win in a row. Team improves to 25-10 and
7-0 in conference.

A couple more runs now it’s 4-1. It’s kind of cool you can see the men’s game way past the outfield when the ball is hit into play.
 
My television listings are saying that the Michigan women play at Alumni field and the men play at the Wilpon complex. I thought the whole thing was the Wilpon complex?

Top of the 7th Michigan leads 3-1. 3-2 now with two outs . 2 out solo homer,cuts the lead to one.

14 in a row with a 3-2 winner! Team is 26-10 and 8-0 ! Indiana falls to 28-12 and 3-5 in conference!
