Lead to 6-0! Same score bottom 5th.

2 run errors and Gophers 8-0 win in 5 inning over wildcats!!

Michigan is 22-1, and 40-11. If Gophers win Michigan is the outright champion of the regular season. Gophers Are up 4-0 heading to bottom of the Sixth.

Gopher pitcher had a no hitter going into the seventh. Lead off hitter gets on base with a line out to third that was dropped. No no gone. Guess they thought ball was hit off her base to far. Wildcats only had 4 hits in the three game series. Game over she pitched a on hitter. Man she is good.

Had runners on first and second in the bottom of the third but lined out into a double play.. Replay shows she was clearly safe getting, and it wasn?t even that close.

Another inning ending line out force out double play, this time leaving the bases-loaded.

The ball was hit hard again, but right at the second baseman.

This time the Michigan runner was clearly forced out trying to get back to second base.

I once heard John McEnroe, when calling a men’s Wimbledon championship match, in which Nadal had advantage over Federer in several service games, and failed to put those games away, use the baseball (softball) metaphor “you can only leave the bases-loaded so many times.”

Federer went on to win that match; it was before Nadal ever beat him at Wimbledon.
