yeah, yeah, I know. Michigan is going to get killed. Doesn't mean we can't talk about it

2 players for Alabama are going to sit, linebacker Terrell Lewis and CB Trevon Diggs

Vegas odds opened up at Alabama -7 and are holding steady. I thought that would grow, but I guess not

Alabama is 15th at scoring defense (ppg-allowed) at 18.8
Michigan is 18th at 19.5

Alabama is 4th in Sagarin with a score of 96.93 and a SOS of 54
Michigan is 9th with a score of 91.00 and a SOS of 12

Both Alabama and Michigan are 0-2 vs the top 10 of Sagarin
Alabama is 1-2 vs the top 30 of Sagarin, while Michigan is 2-3

I'd bet a house with that line. No way we keep the loss under 20.

I don't know what to expect. I can't talk myself into a win but the stats say that it should be closer than the blowout I'm expecting. Maybe I should put down $100 on Bama and I would be happy either way.

Alabama is coming back to the crowd. It was inevitable. Saban is getting long in the tooth and what they've sustained in the last decade is unfathomable. Can't go on. Harbaugh and the Wolverines have an opportunity to put a nail in the coffin. I hope they do.

Bama has lost two or more games six times in Saban's 13 years. When they finish this season with two losses, it won't be anything that abnormal. Their 2019 recruiting class was #1, 2020 is #2. They aren't going anywhere.

Buck up. Michigan has an opportunity to make it 3 losses.

scratching the surface a little bit shows those stats aren't telling the whole story. Vs. the Sagarin top 10:

uofm lost by a combined 50 points (21 at Wisco and 29 vs. OSU)
bama lost by 8 (5 vs. LSU and 3 at Auburn).

I don't think both teams being 0-2 against the Sagarin top 10 is any indication that the game should be close.

also, if alabama has the 54th toughest schedule vs. LSU having the 10th, then there's so little difference between 10 and 54 that the stat is basically worthless at least in that case. But it's probably not very useful in more - according to sagarin, Oregon's schedule is 18 spots higher than Alabama's. The second best conference record in Oregon's division is 4-5 and there are only 2 other teams that have a winning record overall. Oregon played Auburn in nonconf play (a home loss), but it's not like bama didn't also play them.

Jeudy and Waddle are going to scorch Metellus. Then Harris is going to run untouched for many many yards. This is going to be fun. Our offense is going to have to be perfect to keep up.

Yeah. I mean, you have to figure that a lot of those stats were attained with Tua, right?
