I have already said that I think michigan is going to get blown out. I also think that OSU is going to win the next 2 games by 20 points and have the most dominant season in history to prove to me, once and for all, that there is no God.
I'm not sure what those rankings use to determine SOS, but I also think that there are imperfections in any computer ranking. Not the least of which is the fact that they don't usually consider the trends in a team's performance. It would be stupid to place as much weight on Michigan's results against Army as it is to judge this current Alabama team that is missing 3 first round draft picks.
They also don't take into consideration the impact each individual player that isn't participating had on his team's success. At least I don't think they do. If they do I feel bad for the guy that's got to grade every player on Rice's team each week so that we can adequately assess how much credit to give Texas for beating Rice so that we know how much credit to give to LSU for beating Texas in week 2, then factor in how each of the 130 (or however many there are) teams were playing in regards to their average in a given week to extrapolate that performance metric across multiple head to head match ups throuout the season so we can use the transitive properties of said match ups to determine the true strength of each team's schedule so that we don't even have to see the games to determine who will win and that MSU sucks.
