He wasnt a WR comming out....and teams hadnt seen enough of him at RB at that point. I mocked him to us in the 6th...thats where he went. Only dumb asses like mayhew take pass catching rbs in rds 1-2 with limited time at the position.

not sure i'd give him more years. He hasn't done it long and who knows what cj's retiring will do. Those db will have to go somewhere. Most likely the wide-outs but matt throws to the backs quite a bit so maybe he gets some double teams this season.

I would need to seem some more good season's from riddick to give him a longer deal.

Different like what?? Defenses will try and chip him with their D-ends and LBs. You try and put your most athletic LB on him, spy him...whatever. Riddick isn't the only weapon on this team!!! There's a handful of capable guys out there now. No more "where's 81?" anymore. I'm excited.....

I don't see anyone doubling Jones either. Unless they start showing that Jones can blow by CBs with ease, then they'll need that Safety help. Like I said before, too many weapons to double up.....not happening.

I feel that Cooter is going to have a lot of fun with this offense. Finally hope our O is not so predictable. I hated the past 2 years sitting at home watching the games and able to guess our plays more often than not

Riddick has a career 2.9 YPC....you guys can stop comparing him to any starting RB. Hes a great weapon out of the backfield as a pass catcher....but at this point hes proven hes not a consistent runner of the football.

I agree. He's a great option in the passing game. Personally, I would have loved if they moved him to WR. That was until we picked up guys like M. Jones and Boldin.
