No surprise but Eric Davis popped to Texas yesterday, it always seemed like he was going out of state. I think he was dying for a Kentucky offer all along so he slow played MSU and UM, he didn't get that offer so he committed to Texas. Have fun with Rick Barnes, the coach that gets the least out of his talent.

Henry Ellison and Matt Mcquaid visiting this weekend, wouldn't be surprised if Mcquaid commits soon, family in midland, good fit for MSU. Ellison would be a suprirsed, what I hear is he's down to MSU and Marquette but his dad played there and they might offer his sister a basketball scholarship too

I thought he looked good, supposedly an elite shooter but way better than byrd 2.0. just because you're white and can shoot doesn't make you byrd, McQuaid looks a lot more like Stauskas than byrd. he needs a lot of work in the weight room to play at this level but he can take the ball to the hoop and gets a lot of dunks. I think he's a good all around player, good 4 year guy.

i'd be really happy if we get Ellenson or Swanigan. I am concerned about not having another PG next year, reports I've heard are that Tum Tum needs a lot of work

more rumors that we lead for Swanigan which is a positive but I'm still pessimistic in this recruitment. If he loves MSU and Izzo that much then why doesn't he just commit and get it over. the longer this plays out the worse our chances, I've seen MSU as the early leader for guys like Jabari and Alexander.

It's easy to forget these are 17-18 year old boys who don't know much about life and have a hundred different people trying to give them advice. You can bet there are handlers and AAU coaches talking in their ears all the time, "Kentucky makes NBA players," "Go where you can be a star, not just a cog in the machine," "Play somewhere warm where scouts will want to go," "Play somewhere close so we can keep an eye and thumb on the situation."

For all we know, the ultimate decision isn't even being made by the kid himself.

Hes another but how can it be worse than 20 Blue Chip players in 3 years? Thats blatant especially when he was on the down and down as a cheater at Memphis. You really bring yourself into a unique light when youre as blatant as JC. I mean cmon, most of these kids are going pro regardless of where they attend and Kentucky isnt the storied program it was years ago. So all these kids are going to battle each other for playing time and theres nothing amuck? He needs to be booted from the league. If Swanigan heads to AZ ill be disappointed, UK im rolling my eyes and smirking. I hope he is Green but I think he will be blue because of the green.

The funny thing is that UK is so good and has so much history that they don't have to cheat. I wouldn't suspect so much if it wasnt for the anthony davis 200k story that the sun times pulled because one person went back on his statements a day before it was supposed to run.

What UK does is offer these guys a 1yr NBA internship, you stay in a semi-illegal MTV Cribs type dorm and then you take classes to stay eligible in the first semester, who cares if you show up in the 2nd?

a 2yr or 3yr NBA rule would severely cripple Cal. they would still be good but wouldn't have the monopoly on lottery picks that they have now.
