MSU Football recruiting

Corley is on campus today, he's decided to stay the night. Messiah DeWeaver is joining him later this evening and Lavert Hill is coming tomorrow. Most of the other recuits on campus are wrapping things up this afternoon.

Things are over tomorrow and Hill is coming when everyone else has left?

lots of elite players will be in for oregon, some may commit that weekend but there will be some top players who just want to go to that game but aren't really looking at us. It's great either way for exposure, just for example Josh Jackson is visiting for basketball that weekend. I think he just wants to go to a great game

Ohio State insiders are saying Hill will not sign with them and that he's already basically decommitted. Saying it's a battle between Pitt and MSU now.

Who really knows where Jackson is with his recruitment but its rumored were a little lower on the list. Kansas is supposed to be his top spot. The good thing is there is plenty of time to change his mind.

High 4 star(#46 overall) 2016 Offensive Tackle from GA EJ Price has announced he is taking an official visit to MSU on 9/12.

5 star (#19 overall) 2016 WR from FL Nate Craig-Meyers is also taking an official visit to MSU that day.

Can this actually be bad for us? Say this factors into Corleys decision and he ends up going to ohio state or wherever then we get the shaft as the bridesmaid again w/ Meyers when an ole miss pays him $250k?

I played golf w/ my cousin in Chicago last week - his friend teaches at Laquon's high school in Crete, Il. He told my cousin Laquon got paid big $ to go to Ole Miss. He's not a coach or adviser, so I don't know how he knows and may just be repeating a rumor but I found it interesting.

Not worried about Corley at all, I still think he's a silent commit and will play DB at MSU. Craig-Meyers has been interested in MSU for a long while now, same high school as Madre London and they're fairly good friends. Doubt we land him, but it's always nice to get some 5 star kids on campus.

Price has been talking about us for a while too, no idea on him, but he's a big recruit.

Meyers visited in June and scheduled again for September. Not expecting much but it wasnt a 1 and done visit.

Well, this is potentially the biggest recruiting weekend we've ever had. Over 200 recruits from several different classes.

Notables include: Donnie Corley, Lavert Hill, EJ Price, Craig Meyers, Prince Sammons, Jamyst Williams, 19 of our 20 current commits, Alaric Jackson, Peoples-Jones, Aubrey Thomas, Josh Ross, Corey Malone-Hatcher, Jalen Gill, Marquan McCall etc etc

Just a ridiculous amount of talent on campus for our biggest home game of the year.

we turned down a few top players who were committed elsewhere, Blackwell told them that if they decommitted they could get tickets. He didn't want kids that weren't serious about MSU using us to get a ticket to a big time game

Micah Parsons is a huge 2018 recruit to get on campus. #3 player in his class and the #1 DE.

Needless to say, it was a huge weekend.

One development is George Hill came with his family and its now a matter of when not if he flips from Ohio State.

Made a lot of headway with Micah Parsons who gushed about his trip.

Jamyst Wikliams came with his family and we probably lead for him now. His dad couldn't say enough good things. Teammate EJ Price put us in his top 3.

Corley had another great visit.

Rumor has it Corley decided to take a year off from his studies after HS and continue his search for the right team.

More on George Hill. Ohio State people are saying their staff is encouraging him to look elsewhere, they aren't officially pulling his offer, but they don't want him to be part of their class.

How insane is your class when you can turn away a top 100 player?

To have the best 3 quarterbacks in the nation (arguably) on 1 team is an indicator of the programs strength.Youd think they could convert him to another position but maybe not enough room in that respect either.

Abdul Adams highlights. Whoa. Don't look at the listed weight on the video, he is 5-11, 205 lbs and can move like that. Holy shit! Truly gifted backs make a move on someone and instantly are making a move on the next guy.

Over 30 offers from schools like Alabama, Miami FL, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Michigan State. Film like this. Mid 3 star? I think sometimes the services are stubborn and don't like to admit they totally overlooked or underrated someone.
