This should be an interesting matchup, maybe one of the best teams we play when it's all said and done. They've played nobody but they're undefeated and have the best rebounding margin in the country. They have a ton of size, some of it is very raw, I saw they have a 7ft center that weights 210. I think they're going to present problems without Schilling, hopefully we can run them out of the gym. the travel fatigue will be a factor, the team flight from California at 6:30AM yesterday and then went to class. We didn't play anyone too many minutes on that trip and we'll rotate 10 or more players so maybe that isn't as big as a factor, also, it should be a loud crowd and that will provide energy. I wouldn't be surprised with a lower point spread like 5 or 6, this will be a big challenge.

we should send a bunch of hookers to their hotel - wear them out a bit, level the playing field.

I think this is their first game away from home, I'd bet they'll hear about that just a little bit on the road.

Scheduling the tourney in Cali with this game coming up on Wednesday is brutal, the team probably didn't practice yesterday and hopefully just rested. So you have 1 practice to prepare for Louisville's press. It will be our 4th game in 7 days.

Louisville has two good shot blockers, but no real bulk inside.

Lee vs Valentine should be a great match up.

Our schedule is brutal, 8 tourney teams in the non conference. Win this one though and we have a good chance to stay undefeated until the Big Ten season.

this is bad but we've had worse, at least this ACC/BIG game is at home, we've done tourney in hawaii and then turned around and played games at the garden a few days later.

Izzo said initially they were going to have a light practice on monday, not sure if they followed through on that

Like that the team has to learn how to perform while tired.

Izzo is usually pretty sly about who he schedules, he wants the team to learn how to play against every style. I'm sure he figured Arizona would be the foe in the finals of the Wooden Classic, but Providence was a better test, their half court D was unbelievable and honestly rivals what you see from Kentucky. Our depth won us that game, but we learned a lot. Until the Providence game I think maybe things were too easy for this team, we were moving the ball around well and getting easy shots at will, Providence made us work hard for everything, we had 3 or 4 shot clock violations against us. That will only help in pressure situations going forward.

one sneaky tough game on our schedule is @ Northeastern. They just beat #15 Miami in a tournament, Miami had looked really good. we go there right before christmas, hornets nest game. I'm sure we'll lose a game in the non conference, that's not a bad thing

No doubt, I think a loss might be good for this team about now. Will help them refocus and improve.

We're probably playing better than any team in the country right now, but who is playing the best in December means squat. If this team continues to improve like most of Izzos teams we could be playing better than anyone in March and by a decent margin.

And Gavin Schilling has yet to play LOL, he supposedly made a huge leap and had great games in Italy against NBA level guys. He's developed a nice mid range jumper as well as a jump hook. With Davis being better than advertised, Costello being serviceable, and Schilling if he has become the force we are hearing, we are going to destroy any team without good big men. And I bet Schilling or Davis start by Mid January, Costello just seems like a good bench guy you bring in for defense and energy.

Walkon, Kenny Goins has looked pretty good recently too. It's no accident that with the new rule changes and the way fouls are being called this year that Izzo has his deepest team ever. When Schilling is back we'll have 14 guys who can play, 14 guys who would be in the majority of the teams in the conference regular rotations.

That time around Christmas or between Christmas and New Year's is when you see some strange non-conference results too. In addition to the holiday distractions it's that No Man's Land in the schedule between the big marquee early season matchups and/or tournaments, and the start of conference play.

Schilling was playing well in Italy and in the preseason, we were primed to get a lot of production out of the 5 spot in terms of points and boards. we're doing the same thing now with DD and Costello but the 4 spot is a little weaker.

This is throwing people off because we're not following the usual script, we usually lose a few early, don't put teams away that we should, then get better throughout the year. This team looks better at this point of the season than any other team I've seen. as long as we don't sustain any key injuries I think we should win the big ten (the schedule has a lot to do with that).

that's when u get those home ges that aren't really home games because the students are all on break. taking big home favorites in games they would normally roll weaker teams is a recipe for going broke.

We are playing so damn soft. Izzo needs to wake these fuckers up or it's gonna get ugly quick

Were playing horribly but louisville d is the best weve seen this year by a longshot. They are lock down. Wow

They are letting Costello get the ball deep. If he can finish tonight, he should score 20.

No es bueno hermanos. We are getting outfuckinghustled

Good job of Izzo to yank him after that lazy D and brick 3 off the backboard. Wake his ass up. This team goes as Denzel goes and so far tonight he's been awful
