MSU vs UNC

right now it's 2006 for me. they beat a few top 10 teams in IL, Arizona, @ OSU

that team had davis, ager, and brown, 3 guys who would get drafted that year. there was no interior depth after Davis, when he got 2 fouls in the first half it was over.

we used to always be able to fall back on tough, physical defense and rebounding but i think the new rules may have changed that.

i wish we could get someone from the football team to come in and rebound, provide toughness like Trannon did.

If football losses this weekend I'll feel like a Michigan fan and be forced to cheer for women's basketball...

So what is it about North Carolina that gives Izzo all kinds of nightmares year after year?

they're generally better than us, they usually have more talent but not this year. that's why this one hurts, Izzo deserved the win and his players let him down. they walked all over us twice in detroit in 2009 and were pretty caviler about it. this should have been our year

They got us good in 09' but they were loaded. Danny green came of the bench and he's a starter in San Antonio right now if I'm not mistaken. They were missing two starters on Wednesday, imagine what would have happened if they played. I really thought when we tied the game at the half we would run them out the gym in the second half. Dawson and Harris were awful.

I've said it since day 1 and I'll repeat it again. Dawson at the 3 really hurts us. He gets the ball on the perimeter and he can't shoot or dribble. I wish Izzo would start Valentine at the 3 and move Dawson to the 4. Valentine rebounds the ball better than the bigs anyway. Schilling, Costello and Kaminski are the only bigs that should touch the floor off the bench, Gauna is dreadful. Alvin should get some minutes every game too.

Gauna at MSU is the worst player/program combination i could imagine. he should be at michigan or another program that doesn't emphasize rebounding or toughness

He should do what Sherman did and go to Notre Dame.

crazy that he had 29 the other night, granted he would have been a senior last year. he would have been a good RS candidate but he didn't pass the Izzo litmus test of toughness
