Never happy....

How do you know they didn't need to trade up to get Johnson? Word is, Washington was snagging him at 44. Lions jumped them and got their guy. You like someone, you go get them.

The source that told Quinn that Washington was snagging him at 44 was Bill Belichick. I bet the Patriots are happy as fuck they found another retard to steal draft picks from every year. Just giving our picks away. Funny stuff

You're clueless lol

Kerryon Johnson is no joke. You obviously dont watch football. I get it....

4.8 ypc in college, impressive. That translates to 2.8 ypc in Detroit. In all seriousness though, whether or not this guy does anything really doesn't matter. We live and die with Stafford's arm. Would've been nice to go big on defense this draft. Thought that was a given, I was very wrong

Yes, this is Stafford's team and we live and die by his arm. Going out and acquiring Blount in free agency, drafting a stud OLineman. Then drafting a stud RB shows me that it's not just about Stafford's arm anymore.
I'll say it again, the Lions can't fix everything right now. If they would have went defense early then we'd be sitting here arguing on why they didn't draft a RB or a possible stud OLineman lol. It's a vicious cycle.
We addressed OLine, RB, DB and DL in this draft and you guys still cry.

If this dline is STILL dogshit again this year, you will be too.

I expect it to be better actually. Healthy Ansah, healthy Hyder back. An even more motivated Zettle because of the presence of Hyder, Robinson, the rook and some more possible DL signings

It seems to me that Quinn is building this team the right way. It looks like he picked up a bunch of free agents that will improve the quality of the depth. The first round pick may not have been flashy, but if he is as great as some think he is, it will be a brilliant pick. The RB may not be the guy some of us wanted but these guys are a crap shoot. Look at last year's draft...Kamra was the best of the bunch and he was a 3rd round pick.

Here's my question Tony... if the Lions had taken Guice at their normal pick would any of us have been upset?

Of course not. Many people thought we might take him in the first. Getting him in the second would have been a slam dunk. There are about 5 other RBs we would have liked in the 2nd round too.

Instead, we traded a good pick away to move up and get Johnson. Yes, the Redskins were about to take him with the very next pick, which would have left Guice to us later in the round.

I don't dislike Kerryon Johnson at all. I dislike giving up that pick where we did. I agree if you like a guy go up and get him... but I also say you never fall in love with one player.

and you don't use 2 picks on a guy that doesn't make your team better. Riddick is a better catcher. Abdullah is shiftier and more explosive. Blount is bigger and a better pound the rock guy. What upside does Johnson provide? Not durability... that's for sure.

I wanted Guice lol. I think the Redskins got an absolute steal. I won't sit here and argue it but the kid has huge character issues. It was clear as day or he would have went earlier. But i'm not going to sit here and fucking moan about it. Teams were avoiding Guice for a reason. A couple of teams wanted Johnson and we got him. Time to grow with this kid

Riddick is a better catcher. Says who?

Abdullah is more shiftier and explosive. Said no one ever lol

Blount is bigger and better pound the rock guy. Ok, you win...

Johnson is the better OVERALL back than any of these guys you mentioned. Abdullah does nothing better than any of these guys btw. He's fkn useless, but all of a sudden you're on the Abdullah train?? lol. You're hilarious, man....wow. Johnson is a possible 3-down back in the NFL. Runs, catches and blocks better than any of these guys too. The durability talk is fun too. All football players suffer injury. We should know. How many games have Abdullah and Riddick missed? lol

I think it's funny they call you Tony ....lol kinda like calling Mike slick lmao ..anyway I have grown to love the Ragnow pick . Would have preferred Guice but whatever . 3 round was Key still available ?? I think so , would have preferred him . 4th round , this fucktard was the highest rated player in the country coming out . Didnt pick Michigan so i hate him for that haha , but for real he is so slow on tape and doesnt do jack squat for the pass rush . Def a good 1st and 2nd down run stopper tho , so there is good value . Just wondering how are we gonna pressure the ball !!

Cmon man... you're the one who said he hasn't even played a down and all of a sudden he's better than everyone on our roster?... that's wishful thinking at best. Abdullah was higher rated and taken higher... he's just garbage now or cooter turned him into garbage?

I've always viewed rb the same....a good rb is product of a good line. Fix the line. Once that is done find rb value in the mid rounds of the draft and you're good to go. Barry is the only one I've ever seen do it great without a line... and we will never see it again.

So what does or dumbass franchise do... piss value away over and over and over to find a high rd rb. Trade up for best. Trade up for leshoure. Trade up for johnson. I feel like I'm taking fucking crazy pills!.... why do we continue to throw value away for running backs?

1st round LT, 1st round rt, 2nd round center, traded for rob sims first before they added best or leshoure. And best they swapped picks, not give up a pick. Peterman was a 3rd round pick by cowboys too

Best and leshoure were good prospects too. Injury more than anything derailed them

And now again. 1st round LT, big fa guard and big fa right tackle, 3rd round Lg and 1st center. Line is set. They can give up a 4th to move up for Kerryon. Which by the way they got a 4th back. They could also get that 2019 3rd back with a trade back next year

You are wrong hughes that they moved up without establishing a line. Quinn established a oline FIRST. Mayhew did too
