Never happy....

I think it's funny they call you Tony ....lol kinda like calling Mike slick lmao ..anyway I have grown to love the Ragnow pick . Would have preferred Guice but whatever . 3 round was Key still available ?? I think so , would have preferred him . 4th round , this fucktard was the highest rated player in the country coming out . Didnt pick Michigan so i hate him for that haha , but for real he is so slow on tape and doesnt do jack squat for the pass rush . Def a good 1st and 2nd down run stopper tho , so there is good value . Just wondering how are we gonna pressure the ball !!

For the record, no he wouldn't have been available in the 3rd. Washington has admitted they were taking him with the next pick, and when we took him, they traded back and took Guice.

Guice was apparently never seen as a "cultural fit" by the Lions. In retrospect, this might have been the right move after all, but I never like giving up additional picks.

1st round LT, 1st round rt, 2nd round center, traded for rob sims first before they added best or leshoure. And best they swapped picks, not give up a pick. Peterman was a 3rd round pick by cowboys too

Best and leshoure were good prospects too. Injury more than anything derailed them

And now again. 1st round LT, big fa guard and big fa right tackle, 3rd round Lg and 1st center. Line is set. They can give up a 4th to move up for Kerryon. Which by the way they got a 4th back. They could also get that 2019 3rd back with a trade back next year

You are wrong hughes that they moved up without establishing a line. Quinn established a oline FIRST. Mayhew did too

Love that quin has focused on the line. Don't need to move up to get kerryon Johnson to take advantage of it. We started like 14 different oline combinations last year. Get our oline healthy, get some depth, find a lg. that's all you needed to do and mission accomplished...quin did a great job figuring all that out. Trading up and blowing a pick on the 7th best rb was excessive... especially with the least amount of picks in the draft and how many holes we have.

Johnson had a mid 2nd round grade. That is where he went. Good talent and not a reach. Losing the 4th is nothing. They got a 4th back. No bitching until we miss our 3rd next year, like i said, they can gain that 3rd back. They gained the 4th back

Killebrew, JRM and Michael Roberts. You better show them so love since you love 4th rounders so much. So valuable

They want to move up in time for possession and this draft did that . A really nice draft in my opinion. . Guess only time will tell.

Here are the Pass rush improvements list for Detroit

Ansah healthy. He dominates when fully healthy. 12 sacks in 14 games. 16 games healthier can happen

Hyder returns. He can rush

Cornelius Washington plays better in 3-4 in his career

Devon Kennard can rush.

Da’Shawn Hand has big potential too

And a very good scheme change. Patricia knows how to crank up a rush. Some 3-4 looks too. The beauty of the 3-4 is you don’t know who the 4th rusher is. Can disguise more. Big change

And again, Robinson year 3 could improve more. And Sylvester Williams is better than 11 games of Akeem Spence/Ledbetter/shitty street dt like Christian ringo after ngata went down

Davis year 2 on the inside blitz

Dline and rush improved all over the place. New talent, talent from health, run d and scheme

Vikings oline is worse losing Berger, bears oline is worse losing Sitton, pats lost solder, bills lost Eric wood and incognito, Jets a mess, cardinals lost veldheer, Seattle mess oline every year, Carolina mess on oline. 10 of 16 games where the lions have the advantage in dline over oline.

Lions can rush this year

Cmon man... you're the one who said he hasn't even played a down and all of a sudden he's better than everyone on our roster?... that's wishful thinking at best. Abdullah was higher rated and taken higher... he's just garbage now or cooter turned him into garbage?

I've always viewed rb the same....a good rb is product of a good line. Fix the line. Once that is done find rb value in the mid rounds of the draft and you're good to go. Barry is the only one I've ever seen do it great without a line... and we will never see it again.

So what does or dumbass franchise do... piss value away over and over and over to find a high rd rb. Trade up for best. Trade up for leshoure. Trade up for johnson. I feel like I'm taking fucking crazy pills!.... why do we continue to throw value away for running backs?

Piss value away? They had to move up or they weren't getting him. RBs are back brother!!! And if you want one ypu gotta pay the price a bit.

And how bad does Abdullah have to be? Why does he even deserve another shot? He's done nothing since we drafted him. And Riddick does ONE thing good. He catches the football well but he's so one dimendional it's sickening. I love Riddick but he's not a complete back. At least with KJ, we're getting a kid that does BOTH and is a potential workhorse. We can't say that about any RB on our roster. A combo of KJ and LGB can wear down defenses. Then you can sprinkle a little Riddick in there. Odd man out is AA and Washington if you ask me...
Blount, Johnson, Riddick and Green/Zenner as our backs. That's not an improvemrnt from last yr? You're insane if you say no lol

The thing I like about Johnson more than anything is his VISION. Some people throw a comparison to Lev Bell even though that is crazy IMO, but honestly that is what our rb's have lacked recently. Forget where or what article it was but it clearly showed multiple game break downs to where it showed our line actually making decent holes but the RB, mostly AA, would run what the play called for and run into a pile of guys... I know KJ wasn't most people RB of choice but Guice was never an option apparantley and we wouldn't have got him had we not traded up for him. He was there guy and we got him. Now if he sucks after this year then we can all bitch and moan, but until that let's at least root for the guy.

Honestly hope we end up cutting AA before the season starts, and I've always been one of his biggest supporters, but you can only go out there and shit the bed so many times....

We have no real clue if we needed to trade up. If all these sources knew as much as they claim, mock drafts would be a lot more accurate.

I don't know much about some of these picks so no opinion but the Hand pick giving up a 3rd seems a bit much. I understand he was a HS stand out but he didn't fulfill that at Alabama. Not sure he was worth tossing a 3rd rounder at him.

I?d agree with that....does seem a bit much. But we clearly seem to adding players that fit a 3-4 style.....so grabbing someone that can set the edge was important.

Time will tell.....but a 3-4 with Ziggy, Zettle, Hyder and Hand at the ends and A?Shawn in the middle could be pretty fucking stout. Hand might even move inside in passing downs....move Ziggy to the rush LB and let Zettle and Hyder come off the edge......that?s not bad.
