NFL.com says Lions need to let Stafford go

You think Stafford had bad protection Monday night?? Did you see what Wilson had to do all game?? And yet, guy was 20/26, 287 yards, 1 td, 0 picks, 125 rating. Oh yeah, had 40 rushing yards also. Cause he's a real QB.

 Obviously it's a 1 way street. Other players can only help the QB...QBs can't help run game or protection

Stafford playing well. Not gonig anywhere.

I really hate the media. They are so dumb.

speaking of dumb

DT 2-4, MLB,SAM and nickel were all upgraded.
OLBS,DEs and secondary in year 2 of the system.

Ngata is a better run defender than Suh and a good pass rusher still.

These are not ifs.
11-5 and a top 5 defense in 2014. I called 2014. And I'll call 2015. I have never failed.

12-4 with a top 5 offense and top 5 defense. Stafford 100 QB rating.

Top 5 PPG is not far fetched for the offense that is loaded with talent.
Stafford is good and has led a top 5 offense before and played well enough in 2013 and 2014 for a top 5 offense. Calvin and Tate are elite and healthy
We upgraded protection (with draft and health) and run game big time this offseason
Year 2 of the system, plus Lombardi can learn from mistakes
Moore can be solid
Ebron is talented and in year 2.

Everything points to top 5.

Stafford's faults are his run game and protection has turned to shit due to injuries.

Bell had ankle surgery. Maybe that is why he was so damn slow.

This is about the ten thousandth time you've posted these same exact excuses. We are all well aware of your "opinion" on Matt Stafford at this point. Move on.

Stafford's protection Monday was Super Bowl-like compared to Russell Wilson, and yet he dominated him in the battle of QBs.

It's the 10th time he got screwed over. Stafford is a good QB. You are dumb if you think otherwise. Open your eyes and look at the penalties, run game and protection. Stafford can't block for himself.

2.6 YPC. 2.6. That is not NFL caliber.

he can't hit the open man, avoid the rush, call blocking assignments, audible to the correct plays...the list goes on.

Stafford was still pressured 34% of his dropbacks still and threw the ball better than Wilson. Wilson made scrambles and had one fluke play where Mathis stopped covering. Then hit Baldwin who torched the rookie Diggs.

So..the difference between the two is Wilson made a few huge plays, Stafford did not. Yep..sounds right.

We have a very good roster still despite the DT changes. Ngata and Walker can play. Ansah, Tulloch, Levy,Slay,Mathis, Quin can play. Jones, Dig and Whitehead and Wilson can do enough in support.

Plus we should trust our coaching staff after last year.

This offense will be much better in year 2 with the OLine and run game upgrades.

upgrades!

Dude, watch the freaking game. Wilson was running for his life every single play. The announcers brought it up a million times. How many of those spin moves did he have to put on the Lions' lineman to get away??? That's a game tape don't lie situation.

If Stafford had what Wilson did on Monday, he would have thrown for 5 yards.

Wilson threw the ball like shit. He got lucky Lions coverage broke down after missed tackles. Wilson did nothing special.

Stafford was the better QB on Monday.

Stafford was pressured like that against Denver. Stafford played well but Broncos made some great plays disguising coverage. And the fumble wasn't actually a fumble.

he wouldn't have made it to the second 1/2. Stafford sits back there like an orange barrel on I-75

Stafford was pressured as much in Denver as Wilson was Week 4.

Stafford did well.

Run game and protection are the issues. Warford back, Waddle/Reiff improving fixes that. Swanson just has to not be so terrrible.

Oh yeah, I guess 20/26 is throwing the ball like shit?? What planet is this??

This is exactly why this guy is a troll and isn't being serious. He knows he has a nice little argument going (his only priority) so in order to keep it going he goes to one of his bread and butter style posts that proclaim "Matt Stafford was the better QB than fill in the blank." He said it after the Chargers game, which was ridiculous, and he's going to it again.

That ought to keep the argument going another few pages or so at least right? Total troll.

Damnit it's infuriating because this board is actually enjoyable sometimes. But he comes back and ruins it.

Stafford is 65% completion. His fumble and 4 of the ints aren't his fault. The other three fumbles (Calvin, Moore, Riddick fumbles) are clearly not his fault.

Wilson threw moonballs. Gruden was saying how lucky he was getting.
