I realize it will be a tough game, but I honestly believe the Lions win this game.

1. You know Schwartz wants to win and show Harbaugh how the winning coach should behave with the post-game handshake.

2. Stafford is unlikely to have the INTs he had vs Rams.

3. It is unlikely CJ doesn't score at least 1 TD in two straight games.

4. The Lions will be motivated after last year's loss.

5. The Lions learned from what happened last year.

6. The run D looks much better than last year, and LB play has improved overall.

7. They get extra motivated when they are placed in underdog role.

8. Penalties appear to have finally gotten under control, especially stupid ones.

9. Lions D is actually better than Packers D.

10. The DL is hungry. DTs have improved their game over last year and will be key to win over Niners. Fairley Suh-n they will be feared by all.

Some are basically giving the Niners the VL Trophy already. I'm not convinced.

Go Lions!

I hope and pray that Delmas and Houston are back because if they arent and Bentley isnt back we are screwed. Moss looked good yesterday and so did Manningham. I do think we have a chance but we need to step up and play like we are capable of playing.

Niners looked real good on the road yesterday in Lambeau....they'll easily be able to handle the Lions run game without having to drop a Safety into the box all day...CJ will be doubled all day and their LBs can run with Schefler and Pettigrew.

Randy Moss in the slot where they used him aganst GB wil prevent a problem for the Lions also...and Gores a beast.

don't see a win here at all...maybe a 10% shot at it...hopefully they keep it close and get a key turnover or 2.

27 - 20 Niners.

Oline will have to play out of their minds for us to even have a chance. Titus will have to make an appearance.

Titus currently resides in the doghouse , for his half wit antics vs the Rams...Coach Schwartz ripped him in the post game presser.

Might present an opportunity for Broyles to have a breakout game as he will likely see more playing time. Hopefully he makes the most of it if given the chance.

Slick, I see your 10% and raise you to 50.1%...but no, I won't put money on it. ;)

more playing time ? he wasn't even in uniform Sunday

we were a 4th down tackle from winning last year at our house...i don't think victory is likely unless we get either houston or delmas back however..along with bentley...not scared of randy moss..he scored a TD on a busted coverage..i think our defense is going to be alot better than green bays this year..i think this game will be a low scorer..20-14 either team wins..really don't know which way it will go.

I'd worry about Moss in the Red Zone...especially in the slot...the Lions blow in coverage...Niners are a better team , it's hard for the slappys to admit it..but they are.

Was there a reason given by the Staff for him not being dressed yesterday? I thought he looked pretty solid during the last pre-season game. Def good enough to make a contribution if needed.

Tim Twentyman said he was conversing in the locker room afterward and laughing. So I suspect it was a relatively minor concussion...

BILL BENTLEY ‏ @ BB5LIVE
Great 1st WIN as # Lion, everything is ok, thanks to all the fans for the support.... # ROARRRR

Houston is another story...I am hoping that they held him out just as precaution and he will be damn near 100% on Sunday. If we can have those two back there all game it will be a big upgrade over the second half of yesterdays game.

no reason...can only dress 45 , so it was purely numbers.

So what did Coach say about Titus?

I won't say the Lions will get thumped, they usually play them close but San Fran 27 Detroit 14.

wasn't happy with the head butt on Jenkins....just not happy with the immaturity still.

Hey there, hi there, ho there, I'm as SLAPPY AS CAN BE!

Lions 38
Niners 20

Last year they ran all over us. This is a different year and the DL and LBs did a heck of a good job against the Rams run attack, which is nothing to dismiss. Lions O got shell shocked last year, this time they'll be more prepared and less shocked. Did very well against the Niners last year and the team is better now. They are going to surprise many who have already crowned the Niners as champs.

Go Lions!!!

Lost 8 straight to Niners...time to end that and the @Lambeau streaks.

it will be interesting to see what happens..maybe overall the niners may have a better team than us...but not at the most important position they don't...yes our coverage sucks..but healthy i don't think our secondary will be that bad...if they ever get healthy is the question..

I don't see the Lions scoring 38 on the 49ers.

38 points against a team that gave up an avg of 14 last year and go in with an improved defense this year.
