No timetable on Levy

Frustrating as a Lions fan. we get a pro bowl player who spends all offseason traveling the world and walking on planes. Gets an injury that is first reported as "minor" and we lose him for the year.

Here is what I said two weeks ago:

Here is my conspiracy theory, which I will add to Inks.

Levy is fucked up. Like may not play a full season or even at all. There is not much out there to spend on in FA and we will have more than we need. Even at $6M we can use Tulloch as a safety net.

I am of the opinion with the new GM he and the rest of the Lions' front office will be more and more like the Pats f.o. and not give out many or any details regarding players.

I'm starting to think there's something going on mentally with Levy, or that he is contemplating stepping away from the game. Just a hunch

To be fair, the NFL is probably boring compared to wing walking and hiking volcanoes.

If Levy isn't gonna be back, and Calvin gone, why not just burn this sucker to the ground? Trade off Stafford, Tate, and any other non-core part of a full on rebuild, accumulate picks and young talent, and start fresh.

Quite honestly, that sounds okay to me. They've been run like an expansion team trying to win for the last 25 years. How about just starting over and be a real expansion team?

If they don't make the playoffs this year AND win a game, it's time to move on from Stafford, Caldwell, and others.

Disagree, build around Stafford. There is no reason to cut bait with Stafford, none. We'd be paying a qb that does less the same amount in a few years anyway. No thanks. Stafford will retire a Lion

does less? If a QB did "less" that Stafford they would cut bait with him too.

He might be here awhile but no way he retires here. If guys like Montana, Favre, Tarkington, Manning, Warner can't stay with one team I don't see Matt here for the duration.

They've been throwing pieces at Stafford since he got here in 2009. If you can't win a playoff game with one of the best defenses in the history of the league (2014) and one of the better WRs to ever play, I don't know what to tell ya.

I'm in no way a Stafford supporter. But that's the team, not one guy. If I'm not mistaken I think he had a good game vs NO in '12. And was decent enough against Dallas, career average, in '14.

But this isn't the Stafford of the past, we're talking Y8 Stafford. How can you not get excited about that?
