I saw a metric recently showing that UM almost never beats MSU at football when MSU finishes a season with 9 or more wins. They beat bad MSU teams, but when we are good they almost never beat us.
the problem is there have been too many bad MSU teams. As bad as michigan has been, there were times where we've been worse and for longer stretches. Hopefully our trend continues - and I actually hope their fortunes improve as well. It's better for the state, conference and football in general and it's more fun and more meaningful to beat teams that win most of their other games.
