undersized and slow with bad tape was the NFL network analysis...awesome.

Get Startednot the guy i wanted. i guess he's immediately our 2nd best CB though.
Same here. I would have rather seen Boykin, Norman or even Dennard, but at least it was at a position of huge need.
Undersized, doesn't like contact, has short arms and tiny hands, and the worst vertical at the combine. Sounds promising.
At least he's fast, I suppose.
yeah but ESPN/Scouts had him as like the #3 corner, above average at everything but run stopping so its like buying a car. shop around.

Overall Football Traits
Production 2 "2007: Redshirted at Dodge City C.C. (KS) 2008: (12/10) -- 45-3-0 2009: (12/11) -- 58-5-3 2010: (11/11) -- 58-6-1 2011: (13/13) -- 71-6-3 (2 FF and returned 2 of 3 INTS for scores) Career: 13 TFL "
Height-Weight-Speed 4 Shorter than ideal and lean. Top-end speed is adequate-to-good but not elite. Has tiny hands (7 7/8) and short arms (29 1/2). Jumps were disappointing at combine: 31 1/2 vertical and 9-6 broad. .
Durability 3 "Undersized and will need to add bulk/strength to hold up as a fulltime contributor in the NFL. Started all 13 games in 2011. In 2010, DNP vs. Arkansas State due to ankle injury. In 2009, ankle injury prevented him from starting vs. FAU but he did play."
Intangibles 3 "Juco transfer. Won three state championships at Pahokee High (FL), where he played with former Florida CB Janoris Jenkins (N. Alabama). Good football character. ."

Cornerback Specific Traits
Instincts/Recognition 2 Aggressive and confident in his cover skills. Will occasionally bite on double cut when playing off-man coverage but overall instincts are above average. Does a nice job of anticipating WRs breaks.
Cover Skills 2 "Primarily an off-man cover corner who drops with hips open to the QB. When he does use traditional backpedal he has a tendency to let his pads rise and can get caught off-balance. Lacks strength in press coverage but flashes ability to be physical with receivers. Is a quick-twitch athlete with very good agility. Plays with good balance, has ultra-fluid hips and can change directions in an instant. Shows awareness and a feel for reading routes and QB's eyes. Displays good recovery speed."
Ball Skills 2 Tiny hands but shows above average ball skills. Not very physical when the ball is in the air but times jumps well and is competitive. Shows very good body control to adjust. Is adept at locating the ball over his shoulder. Takes solid angles to the ball and will attack it at its highest point.
Run Support 3 "Gives adequate effort and will fill hard when necessary, but by no means is he considered a physical cornerback in run support. Lacks size and power. Struggles to get off of blocks. Has been effective as an open-field tackler and, to his credit, he almost always gets his guy down. But his tackling skills need to improve. Not a wrap-up tackler. Leads with shoulder and frequently dives for the legs of ball carriers. "
One big thing he can at least keep up with receivers in a footrace. That's an improvement over everyone but Houston. I'll go out on a limb and say this kid will end up a solid corner.
certainly hope so. If teams run to his side and he needs to make a tackle, we're fucked though.
Broyles will wear #84 and Bentley will wear #28
why the hell has herman moore's number not been retired yet?
