They did have drop problems.3rd most in the league for any QB. 6.2% of attempts per PFF which was 5th highest in the league. One of many issues. Protection, run game, WR 3/TE performance more so than drops.

And compare to Tony Romo. 2.3%. A 4% jump in comp % if he had Romo type drop %. Stafford would have been at 64.5% and then you all would shut your mouths.

According to the link Lions were 20th in drop %

Again shows the problem with drops, subjective.

If he had 0 drops he would have 64.3, rank him behind Bridgewater (This is including Vikings teams drops) If he had the same drop percent as Luck he would be 58.1% Tied with Carr for 30th.

So even if everyone around him didn't drop a single pass he still wouldn't crack top 10 in completion % even with the unfair stat skewing of only eliminating Stafford's drops.

you are forgetting lack of running game, poor protection and lack of separation by #3 WR & TE's.

Of course...his next statement would be that they were a SB caliber team.

That's why I think we need Andre Johnson and Julius Thomas. Just need more weapons. Make Andre our #3 WR, Julius #1 TE, MUN #2 TE, and Pettigrew our #3 TE. And if we ever get into the red zone we can trout out our redzone novelty in Fauria.

Just need a few more weapons on offense.

Qb, two weapons and defense. That's all you need. It's what we have.

Refs got involved and robbed us of that Super Bowl caliber.

Why acquire weapons for your QB though?? That's why every FA RB or WR is linked to the Colts, right?? He's Andy Lucky though, he don't need no stinkin weapons. He can do it all himself...

Exactly. Every team adds weapons. Packers had Nelson and Cobb and Lacy in 2013 but added DeVante Adams and Rick Rogers in Round 2 and 3 last year. Abberderis in Round 4.

When weapons don't work out or leave, you have to add more. If Young and Broyles worked out, maybe we don't add weapons. But they didn't work out.

Titus went insane, Broyles was injured and Pettigrew was slowing down.

Adding Tate and Ebron were needs.

2012/2013 proves we needed more weapons.

Now Bush is cut, therefore you need a speed back that can run.

But we're the only team in the NFL that drafts weapons for our QB. Remember?? So no worries....

detroit needs to get a starting LG in FA and then Draft CUmmings in the first round for RT

Well yeah, but then people complain we have no depth. We have no depth, and then we draft weapons, and people complain we drafted weapons.

And of course, 1st round picks better light the world on fire year one. Never year two, and absolutely never year three. Just ask Aaron Rodgers, Dez Bryant, Patrick Peterson, and a thousand players before them.

Start and go to the ProBowl year one, or you are a bust. And you better not be an offensive player or you're a bust and our QB sucks. And if you are a defensive player, you better be able to start over any guy on the #2 ranked defense in football year one, or you suck.

In fact, you better just be a kicker if you're a Lions first round pick, and be able to outkick Jason Hanson, or we will never forgive you.

Shit, we better just stick to drafting long snappers with every pick. It's the only position people on this board don't find a way to bitch about on a weekly basis.

Amazing how all these guys perform like crazy in Green Bay, and then disappear once they leave. Must be luck huh.

Here is the list of offensive skill positions Lions have drafted in the 1st round since the last time the packers have drafted on in the 1st:

Ebron
Best
Pettigrew
CJ
Mike Williams
Kevin Jones
Roy Williams
Charles Rogers

Wtf is your point? lol.

That you don't need to waste big money and high picks on "weapons"

You do need weapons to succeed. Calvin and Tate are a big reason for Detroit's success along with Stafford and defense. Got to find them however you can.

Green Bay does it through draft, we do it through free agency and re-signing a drafted Calvin (good job Mayhew/Lewand) that was handed in Millens lap.

We'll see what Green Bay does if they lose Cobb this offseason.

Yeah Thompson can find weapons, but he can't draft defense worth shit.

That shitty defense held our weapon filled offense to less than 20 points a game.

So Green Bay does it through Day 2 and 3 draft picks. We keep trying through 1st and failing, eventually you need to try something different or look at why it may not be working.

We had great defense last year, but people still want to force us to be an offensive team. Build the defense, after this year get a cheaper game manager at QB than we have now, and win that way.

Lions signed Prater. 3 years 9 million. Got our kicking game set.

Mayhew has never taken a 1st round WR.

1st round TE, we'll see how Ebron pans out. Both Ebron and Pettigrew were picked in the area where they were supposed too. They weren't reaches. We needed a TE both times.
