It was to long and difficult of a season for it to end in a sweep with a bunch of hot garbage offensive, the starting pitchers deserved better..the 2012 Tigers had the pitching to win it all, it's a damn shame the offense couldn't be consistent enough to seal the deal.. I honestly would have rather they not gotten this far if that's what we were going to get. Losing is one thing, but going out like that is another.

The offense lost the series for us in 2012, triple crown and all wasn't enough, too many bats simply just pressed and over swung/expand the strike zone. oddly enough Delmon wasn't one of them, Prince may have been the worst with the zone expansion

Two corner outfielders. No real sluggers out there available so maybe try and sign some of the speedier guys who can cover ground and hit for average in the corners. Guys like Victorino and Ichiro might not be bad stop gaps. A bullpen arm or two would be nice, other than that, there's not much else the Tigers can do.

People I don't want to be Tigers next season:

Delmon Young
Jose Valverde
Don Kelly
Ramon Santiago
Brennan Boesch
Daniel Schlereth
Ryan Raburn
Avisial Garcia
Quintin Berry
Gene Lamont
Lloyd MacClendon
Jeff Jones

Obviously I don't want all of them to be out of the Tigers organization but a handful of them are not ready for MLB level (Boesch, Garcia, Berry) and I don't want to see Castellanos rushed up either.

I'm indifferent about Leyland with the caveat that he must replace his staff minus Brookens, Belliard and Toby Harah.

i want them all gone too, but id be willing to bet that the only ones who are gone are 'elmn, rotten potato, and rabum.

i only want leyland to stay if he agrees, in addition to what you already said, to also give up being able to manage the bullpen and make lineups. a retarded monkey could do those things better than he does.

A RHP AND a LHP batting practice pitcher, not being able to hit soft tossing lefties lost us 2 of these 2012 WS games.

Players who aren't coming back
Delmon Young
Jose Valverde
Ramon Santiago
Anibal Sanchez
Brennan Boesch
Ryan Raburn

Players coming back that we don't want.
Jhonny Peralta
Don Kelly
Danny Worth
Daniel Schlereth

AAA players to bounce back and forth between Majors and minors
Avisail Garcia
Quinton Berry

Areas players will be signed
Corner OF
That's it. No closer, no infield help, no starters.

We made the World Series. No major changes will be made. But I pray Gene Lamont is no where near 3rd base.

I don't know. They might see the ineptness of their consistent poor hitting and go get bats.

And Delmon might just get a life long contract. And as much as I don't want him here I have no more hate for him since he was the only one that showed up to play.

I do not get the Don Kelly hate. Every team needs a versatile player who can spell at different positions and Kelly is more literate than most. If he's not on the roster, another like player will be in his stead. If he's batting second and playing RF every day, that's when he becomes a liability. Strictly as a sub, I like the guy.

Another aspect of off-season needs are the deficiencies in the players we counted on to perform in the post season, which were proven to be more mental than physical. Jackson's reluctance to sell out on balls hit in front of him is a mystery, as one example.

Every player in the Tigers' organization would benefit from reading The Art of War, because it's apparent that this series was decided in outcome before the first pitch was thrown.

I like Don Kelly's versatility but his deficiency at the plate is unacceptable. In the field, he is average. Which is okay for a backup. But if he can't hit .240-.260 we don't need him that bad.

I don't know... All i know is I wanted Marco Scutaro at the deadline and we still could have traded for Omar and Sanchez.. Now that would have really help even more.. Heck Omar can even play some outfield.. Take MS off the Giants they don't even make the WS..

Valverde ..Find your split Papa.

Young (although he is the only big bat that appear in the PS.).

Santiago's fake birth certificate is exposed... Man did that guy age in a season...
You need a faster younger player for RS's spot who can play really good defense. taking winter ball off hurt him.. But he did have a newborn so that was ok..

Raburn... bye

Yeah all the other guys you guys said...

I want to see Porcello traded along with maybe Dirks for a legit LF/SS/SP upgrade. I like Dirks, but he's probably bound to be the odd man out with Garcia and Castellanos on the way for RF and LF. I also want us to resign Sanchez. I can live with Peralta coming back for the money he gets. Outside of that, we'll probably need a closer (Soriano?), and could use a really good middle infield defender as a bench player (Worth?), a speed guy (Berry?), and a backup catcher (Laird?). With VMart coming back, we should automatically be much improved at the plate.

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing us make a big splash on a guy like Hamilton or Melky Cabrera, or swinging another huge trade for a player in their prime. We've actually got some pieces if we wanted to go that route.

I would like to see us sign Torii Hunter and then pull a trade or two to fill our other holes on offense/defense. Re-signing Sanchez would not be amiss either, as long as we dont overpay for him.

Hamilton is not coming here. Not only is he going to get way too much money, but he's a big health risk. Betcha the Yankees sign him for a huge contract and then regret it halfway through the season. As for Melky, nobody is going to want him now. The only reason he hasnt sucked lately are the PEDs. He was marginal before that.

I am assuming that a Porcello-Dirks trade would yield only one of the three needs in LF/SS/or SP. Can't imagine GM1 knowingly trading away an SP that the GM2 considers an "upgrade" from the one GM1 is getting in return. RE: Hamilton and Cabrera. Not what I think the team needs. Melky's inflated stats are related to means he cannot pursue anymore, and his quick exit from the Giants' demonstrates his lack of understanding of the importance of a team dynamic. Victor will educate the ignorant , I hope, when he returns. Hamilton is added salary on a team with enough long-term contracts: Four. I bet the Tigers retain Laird.

They should have some type of 'clause that says you don't get paid if caught with peds. He's average, takes peds, becomes good, gets paid, caught using peds, still getting paid.

As much as people will dislike it, I would not mind them trying to sign Pagan. Along with either Hunter or Soriano in a trade where the Cubs eat salary, Pagan, Ajax, Hunter/Soriano would be a pretty good OF.

Honestly just want Valverde, Young, Raburn, Lamont, Lloyd, Peralta, Santiago, Berry, and Kelly gone. The big test here is finding a good SS. I think our bullpen will be fine without Papa Grande, we have enough arms there. The rotation shall be interesting, wonder if Sanchez is brought back. We would have two OF holes, but I say fill one with a stop gap solution. Preferably someone who can bat 2nd and hit .285+ and gets on base a lot. The other OF spot just use a collection of players. Whether that be Garcia, Dirks or even Boesch.

I still want to believe it's too early to give up on boesch he makes it difficult but he's still pretty young, he needs to figure out how to get his head straight, it all eats him alive way to much to succeed.

They just need to give him either a PT role or AAA at the start of next season. They should have done that when he started to struggle.

He'll be 28 next season, not really young anymore.
