Its time. Lets start talking FA and draft.

Here's mine:
Re-sign Tulloch. 5 years, $30 million.
Slap the tag on Avril, trade him for a second rounder (I think they could get more, but I'll be conservative here).
Backus re-signs for one year, $3 million.
Kevin Smith re-signs.
Trade a 3rd rounder for Samuel (doubt he goes for more than that and Mayhew almost traded for him once, so this doesn't seem unreasonable). His contract is re-worked.
Sign Corteland Finnegan to a 3 year, $17 million deal. Our CB depth is suddenly excellent.
Rework Calvin's contract.
Draft Glenn in rd 1.
Draft another o-lineman in rd 2, and a DE with the Avril pick (not realistic to predict 2nd rounders this early but w/e).

Not sure if they'll have the money for both Samuel and Finnegan, but I'm confident they could fit it in.

caps not going up this year....so getting Calvin to do an extension for them is mandatory , they can wiggle some extra cap room with it.

Yup. I just hope they don't use it to overpay Avril.

If they throw a ton of money at Avril I'll lose some respect for Mayhew.

Time to lock up CJ for the next 5 years. A 7 year end loaded deal will do.

going to get a Fitzgerald type deal.....7 or 8 years 120+ , 50+ guaranteed.

You have to lock up CJ. You really do. He's actually that valueable. To quote Teddy KGB from the movie Rounders...pay that man his money. We can only hope CJ gives us a small discount so we can still add another player(s) to help improve this team. He seems like a player who would do something like that anyways.

After what he and Staff did this year.....that's a fucking steal.

CJ's last 4 games......

771 yards and 6 TD

No more debate about it. He is the best WR in the NFL.

Staff's last 4 games...

1664 yards (416 yards per game), 15 passing td's, 1 rushing td and 4 int's.

I know they said Before the NO game that he is the first QB in history to throw for 1500 yards over a span of 4 consecutive games (1511 yards). Now with the NO game he upped that record to 1664.

And we lost the last 2 games because our D gave up 90 points.

Should have been almost 100 points in two consecutive games, had Brees not taken a knee.

As much as I would like to see the Lions "Leshoure" up their OL, it looks like nearly their entire D needs to be overhauled.

A picture indeed does speak 1000+ yards surrendered...err...I mean words:

lol. wasn't that speivey's assignment there?

I think the d-line is fine (maybe add another pass rusher), but the secondary needs to be overhauled other than Delmas and maybe Houston and our linebackers need to tackle more consistently. I don't think we tackled Pierre Thomas with one guy on any play in the game!

Dunno, but that was absolutely *facepalm* pathetic to have witnessed.

That apparently was the first game EVER in the Aints' (mostly sorry) history where they did not have to punt the ball away...nuff said.

That's a but misleading, a bit :) . 4 4th down plays where if it was regular season, would have been punts. Maybe not all but some.

They kept going for it bc they knew they would get it. They weren't scared of our vanilla cupcake defense.

Obviously Brees "crossed the plane" of the first down marker with his leap over the pile..heh!!

and then fumbled...
I'm more upset that they gave him forward progress. He crossed the first down mark, then pulled the ball back on his own. But they gave him the forward progress because the refs don't know any better.
